Expired Previous Passport- Is that a Problem?

Hi Guys! I was going to apply for my first British Passport soon... and they had a requirement of sending over my previous passport that I entered the UK with (alongwith the application). However, during my citizenship application my previous passport expired in May and I didn't renew it as I though...

Nav, Dude- that's a ridiculous waiting period! Seriously, get on the bandwagon and send out a phone call / email to your MP. The HO is just replying in a very 'standardized' manner- oh we don't know-unless it's 6 months- application still in progress..yadda yadda. It irks me to no extent! So Talk to...

WHO HAS BEEN WAITING FOR MORE THAN 5 MONTHS?

Guys.. I just wanted to create a topic- to generate a list of people who have been waiting for more than 5 months for their application now (the time where you suspect your documents are 'lost!'?) Also- we can collectively formulate strategies then- of contacting our MP's or any alternatives the mod...

Hi Guys, I got the same email as Bnaresh... Albeit- I got the extra line (as I was quite adamant on why it was taking so much time!).... and they wrote 'I cannot give a date by which this application will be resolved, nor can I provide details of the reason(s) why the case is taking this long.' Well...

Hi there, I applied on the 9th of March (probably the earliest one here! )... I just wished to confirm which of these 3 email addresses did you receive a reply from? This is because- the 1st and 2nd addresses have only sent me back automated responses stating I won't receive anything from them...

Oh yes- that sorts it. I will be asked for my previous nationality there-lol. I was just trying to avoid a scenario to visit the high commission- but obviously that's not going to happen. If anyone knows any easier way to apply for it renouncement and gaining an OCI card (like a premium application)...

Thanks for that, Sir.

I was unaware they had a previous nationality page. However, just to realign- my country of Birth is Kuwait. Although my parents are Indian- I 've only been there twice for a couple of months.

Imagine this Scenario...(Previous Passport Question)

Hello Kind members, I would like to imagine a particular scenario: 'If I have been granted naturalisation and acquire a British Passport sometime in the future. And so- I have to forgoe my Indian passport as a result of this. However, my Indian passport expires in May (in about 3 months which is the...

Many thanks!

Hold on a minute... does that mean the 'customer services' are unable to help anyone unless its 6 months or more OR.... do the authorities have a backlog of 6 months- & would it mean it would take ages to review our applications??.. omg¬ i hope its the former :-(. Damn, this experience is making me ...

Just my 2 cents here... Quite honestly- the shambolic experience on the 4th was also reflective of the ORDER in which the applications went. Our numbers were called first for biometrics- and probably 3rd last for actual submission. I wouldnt be surprized one bit if this continues and all the people ...

I was at PEO Croydon yesterday (4th of July). The seemingly straightforward Set (M) application turned out to be one of the worst experiences of my life. I cannot comprehend or seemingly am able to shed light on the following issues: 1) If there was a technical glitch like in my case (and all of you...
