Update: Nothing really to update. Fairly friendly with local MP, he asked for me in November and they told him that the visa should be issued by the end December. (Boxing Day was 6 month mark.) He said if I hadn't heard by 7th Jan to give him a shout and he'd chase them again. I hadn't, so I did. He...

This is a joke, my wife gave up her job in March to move here from the USA and marry me, she's coming up to 9 months out of work now and she's cracking u...

Just an update, after a chance encounter with a local MP last week we asked him to look into our case for us. His office got back to us today with some information, they had contacted the UKBA on Monday but they had no updates. However, the UKBA called my MP's office this morning to let them know ou...

One of the things I often wonder is if the UKBA scrutinise certain applications more closely than others, based solely on the applicant's nationality. It might explain why some applications are processed in just a couple of months, while others are dragged out for six or more.

I have sent SET (M) instead FLR (M), but have only realized that few days ago. And am wondering what is going to happen next, as they had it for 25 weeks, have been through application, and nothing seems to be wrong so far. Ouch! I really hope it works out for you. Fingers crossed there's no issue ...

Is that what they're calling themselves now? 'A government?' That word. I do not think it means what they think it means. LOL yes, politicians should look for a definition of that word. If only we had someone to tell us to pay extra and get everything done in matter of days, but you go by the logic...

Just to update on our progress, biometrics letter received today. We made our application on 26/06/12 and received our acknowledgement letter on 05/07/2012. So our wait time for biometrics letter was: 6 weeks, 3 days from date of application. 5 weeks, 1 day from date acknowledgement letter received.
