Cover Letter Tips

Hi Any tips on writing cover letters for naturalisation application? Specially disclosing breaches - overstaying (nearly 10 years ago) and illegal working (12 years ago). Which by the way home office are aware of (checked from SAR). Do we have to mention all our previous immigration history? Please ...

SAR - Subject Access Request

Hi, Sorry if not posting in the right place. I wanted to ask if anyone has recently requested subject access request from UKVI? 1. How do they send you the requested information? Is it by post or email? 2. How long does it take to process the request? It says 40 days but I’ve heard it may take months?

Re: Good Character question in ILR APP affecting Naturalisation

Thank you for your response. I explained only about the last 5 years spent on refugee status as advised by a solicitor. Good Character question in ILR APP affecting Naturalisation

Hi I was granted ILR (SET P) in 2020. In ILR application there was a question: ‘Is there any other information about your character or behaviour which you would like to make us aware of?’ To which I answered no as I honestly thought that they will only look at my last 5 years. I want to apply for na...

That’s great! Thank you both for your responses. Very helpful. Yes it’s best for him to declare the overstay period and illegal work. Thanks again. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Good Character - past declarations

Hi, I hope I’m posting in the right place. I’m asking on behalf of my uncle who will be applying for naturalisation. He has worked while he had overstayed his visa, which was nearly 12 years ago. His 10 legal years will complete next year July. My question is that should he declare the illegal work ...

You can report change of address online using the link below. It’s an online form

They will notify you by email once they’ve updated it in their system.

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

The home office will send a notification to the employer, allowing the employee to work for 6 months. When 6 months about to finish then the employer will need to re-do the right to work check.

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

If you have applied for travel document they ask u to return your country of origin passports. They send a letter back as an acknowledgement that they have received your passports and will be kept until u hold the travel document. So u can send them that letter if you have it.
