Simply answer is, you can't.
Thank you for the prompt reply. It is rather discouraging.
So, his only option to see me here is a visitor visa then? Which can be used for 6 mo within a year?

Visa for older father

Hi. I am a naturalized UK citizen. I have a lone father who is 65+ living in other, non-EU country. He is reasonably well, has a property and a (very) small state pension. My ultimate goal is to get him a settlement in UK. However, I am not sure what would be the best route. Please can get an advise...

Re: BRP Card going to expire on 17 july 2018

"Should I renew the BRP card first and then apply for the registration?"

I haven't renewed my kids BRPs before applying and this all went well.

One thing, you must renew BRP within 3 mo after it has expired. I applied for BC for my kids before the 3 mo deadline. Not sure if it matters at all.

The other day, I was advised by NCS that occasionally the HO make a spot check by requesting original docs from those who applied via NCS.

Hi alex
I always used Tomsk in all my applications. They always changed it to Tomck (ilr, bc certificate, passport).

Re: Transliteration Problem

There are always little transliteration problems, don't worry about that. Passport office will use whatever it is in your Ukranian passport. In my case they used TOMCK (Cyrillic) as it is in my Russian passport instead of TOMSK as it is supposed to be in Latin. And it is TOMCK in my citizenship cert...

Re: Naturalisation for someone who has overstayed in the past

I was an overstayer (not my fault, just some unfortunate set of events) and still was granted with ILR as they took the circumstances into consideration. A couple years later I applied for BC and was rejected and the letter said that I can try again not earlier than 5 years since ILR granted. I appl...

Shall I contact the HO?

Hi everybody,
I got my citizenship recently. However, my wife and kids applied later and still await a decision.
Shall they inform the HO about my citizenship? Would this facilitate/speed up their applications?
Thanks for the advise

Re: Prescription PCN any bearing on naturalisation

If you are worried about PCN as such, not specifically prescription related PCN, here is my experience. I had a PCN for driving on the bus lane, which I have paid next day. I sent a query about this to the UKVI, they replied that I have to disclose it as well as the details of the outcome. I did as ...

It is normal for HO to put the same details on your certificate as those that appear in your foreign passport. The only exception usually is if your name/place of birth contains odd, non English characters, then the will use the English equivalent.
I see, many thanks you for your answer.

Citizenship certificate error - advise needed

Hi all, In my national passport the place of birth is given in Cyrillic - XXX с XXX - where "с" corresponds to Latin "s", so it must be XXX s XXX in English transliteration. In my application form I used XXX s XXX, however, HO copied XXX с XXX from the passport and this is now on the citizenship cer...

There are two types of letters. A combine approval and invite to book ceremony letter in one OR an approval letter and then a separate letter inviting you to book ceremony.
Out of curiosity, any ideas why some people receive two letters while the other - just one combined?

Re: What do I tick on question 6.7 MN1 form regarding Brp card

I have ticked "No" and wrote "Keep for possible travel reason while the decision is being made". Same for Q-6.12.

At NCS, the registrar crossed this all out and ticked "Yes".

Also I checked "No" for Q-6.11.

Hope this helps somebody.
