I heard one can request them to remove the data if they are holding it for no reason?

I will certainly pay once I have money coming in , but it's been now over a year I am on JSA , so can't afford anything at the moment... Anyone have an idea how long it takes to get confirmation from the home office.

I sent my SAR request two weeks ago used 1st class stamp but haven't received any confirmation From the UKBA. I am not sure what is the best thing to do?
