Re: good character confusion

It is an offence unfortunately for me. You can't pay any one unless they are over 21. Police is looking to charge me and home office is aware. If it came to that I am intending to plead guilty. My only concern is that home office can argue the offence happened before I applied for naturalisation hen...

Re: good character confusion

It is a little complicated but I ll try to explain. I was a stateless when I applied for ILR and naturalisation. But basses of my application was 14 years long residence in the UK. Um it's a bit embarrassing but I guess I have to tell to get a better advice from board members. I paid a girl mate of ...

good character confusion

I received my naturalisation in December 2013. I never had any criminal conviction or anything but I have now come to know some thing which I did before December 2013 and never knew it would be a criminal offence. Now there is a chance I may get convicted for that offence. Home office is aware of th...

Re: Apply citizenship after 14 years long residence

Please when you fill the application make sure you ask them for their discretion to be applied in regards to last 5 years of legal stay and it wouldn't hurt to explain about your length of stay in this country, your connection here and your good character. you have come this far now so don't rush th...

Re: Apply citizenship after 14 years long residence

I applied under 14 years long residence and was given ILR. I applied for naturalisation 4 months after getting my ILR and asked them to apply their discretion in regards to having no immigration control for the last year as my application took nearly 11 months. My naturalisation application took abo...

To be honest i don't think you would have any problems entering the country on Canadian passport. Even if you were deported, the maximum ban is 10 years and after that you are allowed to come back again. As you hold Canadian passport you don't even have to declare that you were deported as you are n...

Re: Student to spouse visa

Yes it is for my spouse. She hasn't worked since she arrived in this country, Have always attended her college course. So all i have to do is register the wedding and fill up the form FLR(M) and send it with all the required documents. Is that the correct form to fill when you changing it from a stu...

My ILR application took few days short of 11 months and i applied for naturalisation 15 months after my ILR application date. I asked for that discretion and they accepted it. So it’s worth a try but be prepared for the refusal and loss of your fee.

Student to spouse visa

Can any one please explain the process of changing your student visa to a spouse visa?

Is it as simple as filling up the form FLR(M) and sending it or are there other steps one has to take before sending the application?

Many Thanks in advance

Citizenship Ceremony question

Hi All I received my approval letter just over a week ago and it states that I ll receive ceremony invitation letter within 2 weeks. I called local council and they informed me that home office will send me that letter but I have read on this forum many times that letter came from council. Can any o...

Your initial question was misleading then. Most importantly, if your last comment is right then you have no case to answer and nothing to worry about. Make sure you get a letter stating that your ticket has been cancelled - you may need it as evidence! My initial question was posted in June this ye...

If your ticket has been cancelled then they should revoke the 3point on your licence. Also, the fact that they've cancelled your ticket is an admission that it was wrongly issued in the first place. ...then why do you still need to go to court? I think you misunderstood, When they send an FPN you h...

My reply maybe off topic and a bit late but I thought I should update this forum after Ayubi's conviction in saying that I have definitely committed an offence. He was 100% sure the offence has been committed when I held a mobile phone in my hand, doesn't matter if the screen was broken or antenna w...

Documents for ceremonoy

What sort of documents you have to take with you for your citizenship ceremony ?

Do councils ask for more documents or the approval will be enough ?

Many Thanks

15 months discrition

it is a huge relief. I received my approval letter today. A lot of people have been enquiring about 15 months discretion on this forum. I received my ILR in June and it nearly took them few days short of 11 months to decide my ILR application, so i asked for that discretion to be used in my favour w...

You only get one copy of p60 if you have lost it then no one can give you another copy of p60, however you can ask HMRC for your tax contribution statement. That should be acceptable by the UKBA.

You should be fine; you don’t have to mention it as it was between you and the shop. On a separate note theft is when you take something away from some one with intention to deprive him or that thing permanently. In your case you only went outside for your baby, which is a legitimate and understanda...

its not a traffic offence, its not even a fine, private companies have no legal right to issue you fine. the only way it may effect you is if it goes to court and you don't pay it then.

You don't have to mention it on your application.

Are you sure you are OK to apply (click) ? Yes I have read quite a lot about 14 years cases and have spoken to couple of solicitors and I am a bit more optimistic than I wa before. Still it's a 50/50 but I am going to take that chance. I have to ask them exercise their discretion and hope for the b...
