I, too have passed 6 month mark and have called UKBA to ask WTF is happening. Very politely lady said that its incomplete. I also applied 10th Jul Set(0) Hsmp+Tire1 and got the Biomatric today(12th Oct) issued on the 9th Oct.(after 3 months!!!!)

Just to let you know ,I've applied 10th July SET(0).still no Biometrics Invitation!Hopefully before end of next month.

I applied SET (O) on 10 Jul 2012 and Royal Mail confirmed delivery on 11th (2 days before your one.) My payment was taken on 30 Jul 2012 (it apeard on the credit card yesterday) but still no Ack letter. Your payment will come out soon, hang in there! I can see that they have taken payment from my credit card (it appears the transaction was placed on Monday 30th Jul, but yesterday UKBA said they have no record of it against my immigration record!.) Hopefully will get an Ack letter soon. We'll ask the employer to use the employer checking service ...
