Re: EEA Family permit - gives you work permit?

Thanks for the clear answer! Can you be able to give the reference to the document and under which section it is mentioned? Is this in "Directive 2004/38/EC" - which section? - Therefore it should apply equally to all EU member states and not just UK. What is the meaning of "being self-sufficient" o...

EEA Family permit - gives you work permit?

Dear members, My query: When an EEA spouse apply for EEA family permit and travels to UK with his/her partner from an EEA country - the EEA national as well as EEA spouse both used to get work permit automatically - Is there a change in that rulings from 2014? Because on this page I see as: http://w...

Re: Can you re-enter the UK on COA?

Can someone please tell me what does the COA for EEA2 consist? Is it enough for a visa national to board a flight from outside the EU or they will need to apply for another EEA FP? Legally, can visa national enter in UK with COA while traveling alone (without EEA spouse)? if yes, with what referenc...

as a second option why not you apply EEA2 now and write a covering letter asking for the return of passport and the prompt issuance of your COA too and briefly inform your current circumstances. It may give you a safer ground on your return as because you can argue that your application is already ...

What have changed since your last post on the exact same problem? If nothing has changed, then the advice given there is still valid. Situation is different here. I have a valid EEA FP and my non-eea national is out of UK for medical reasons and now cannot travel, I want to visit her and then come ...

I told her that the docs from UKBA site says that EHIC is sufficient for EEA1 and EEA2 but she still said if you say self-sufficient then get a private CSI. EHIC can be used as CSI but it needs to be a non-UK EHIC. A UK EHIC is not accepted (this is for travel outside the UK). Yes I told her that I...

Look applying/holding RC is optional because it is just the confirmation of your rights as long as you have relationship with EEA national and EEA national is excercising its treaty rights. Now why not you buy private health insurance and use your employment income to finance your eea national part...

Any absence from uk up to 6 months does not break the mean of residence and based on this concept and the evidences such as marriage certificate and EEA's excercising eu treaty rights then there should not be any problem. It is fine, in my case EEA national is exercising Treaty rights based on non-...

there is no saving/salary limit and 27k looks a very handsome figure. Any regular income/saving will serve this purpose. Main thing is that the applicants should never appear to be able to be in position to receive any sorts of benefits from the UK gov. I read in some of the official docs / directi...

yes you can apply because an EEA national can be self sufficient with the saving/wages income of any of its family member. There is no fixed amount for that and it is entirely depend on an individual case. However, be remembered to buy private medical insurance too. This is correct. I have a simila...

Still a bit confused. Why would EU citizen needs to fill up an application from the first place? I am non-EU so it's EEA 2 I need to apply for..isn't it? So far I thought EEA 1 is for the unmarried couple partner visa. Thank you! Under European law, you do not need to obtain documentation confirmin...

What you are planning to do appears to be possible, but I would say is at the very least unorthodox and may give rise to further investigation and subsequent problems for you. You may find that you are unable to travel while it is all sorted out and this may cause you hardship. If I were you (and o...

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's problems. What is she doing in the UK? She needs to be a worker, self-sufficient, student.
