ILR T2G Date of Application - 1st Issue or 1st Entry?

Hello. A friend of mine is about to apply for ILR under the 5 years Tier-2 General route. His first visa was issued on 16 May 2016 and he entered the country on 26 May 2016. Can you please confirm if the 28 days earlier application rule is still valid, and whether it counts from the first visa issue...

Spouse - Further Tier-2 Extension or FLR(M) while ILR Under Review

Hello. I am asking this question for a friend. He has applied for ILR under the 10 years route, and his last visa was Tier-2. He is currently waiting for the outcome of his ILR application. His wife has entered the UK six months ago on a Tier-2 dependent visa, and is still on this visa, which will e...

Forgot to Upload Verification Consent Form - ILR 10 Years

Dear all, I am asking this question for a friend of mine, who has applied for ILR on 10 years long residence route in January, but has just now realised that he has forgotten to upload the signed consent form for verification checks (the 3 part form provided in the application stage). Can you please...

Normal post.
Thank you. So does this mean the Royal Mail Redirection service is expected to work on all 3 letters?

Home Office Letters - Courier or Royal Mail?

Hello, Can anyone who has recently gone through the process of naturalisation confirm whether they received the Home Office letters through normal Royal Mail post, or through some form of Courier, and if so, which Courier company? Please specify the difference in delivery method between either of th...

Re: Naturalisation Application-Change of Address Details

I thought choosing the council as part of the application form is at the applicant's choice, so it does not necessarily have to be the same council where you are living in. I am under impression that changing the address to HO will only change the correspondence address and the ceremony council can...

Re: Very worried for My brother who is due to bring his tai wife to uk

Well, firstly, No one in this forum can comment on the personal issues you have raised. But in terms of your immigration query, as your brother is a British Citizen, he can bring his wife to the UK on Spouse visa with an application on FLR(M) which would grant her an initial visa of 2.5 years, which...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

I submitted my biometrics an hour ago at UKVCAS and as I had bought the SMS service I was expecting to receive a SMS confirming that the information has been sent to the UKVI. But I still have not! Does anyone have experience of the SMS service? The lack of the text message has made me thinking may...

Good News. Thank you Cullinan. I hope Home Office later does not use the travelling during the lockdown to attend the UKVCAS appointment against applicants' good character!

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

I just called this morning, first thing. Took 10 minutes to get through, but they were really great - super professional and straight to the point. In my case at least, they've confirmed the system has generated this email automatically and in error as it has no knowledge of the UKVCAS/IDV system. ...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Given the lockdown, can we still book and attend the UKVCAS centres for biometrics? I mean, if UKVCAS still continues to offer available appointments, can we attend these or it will be in breach of lockdown rules? I read somewhere that UKVCAS is considered as essential service and its workers are 'k...

Re: Declaring PCN on Naturalisation Application?

Thank you for your help. These 3 Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) were not for parking, but for inadvertently driving into a bus lane a few times. Does this make a difference? My other question is that the date of issue of my ILR BRP is 01 Nov 2019. I can submit my naturalisation application on 01:00 AM...

Passport Photo vs. Naturalisation UKVCAS Photo

Hello,

I think this is a silly question, but I still am wondering if the photo taken during the UKVCAS appointment for my naturalisation application will be used for the British Passport as well, or should I provide a new photo again for the passport and how?

Many thanks.

Change Address while Application Under Review

Hello,

I am about to submit my application for naturalization now. However I may change my house in the next 1 to 2 months. What should I do? Is there a way to update correspondence address and current address on the application after submission?

Many thanks.

Re: Declaring PCN on Naturalisation Application?

Thank you for your response. I was concerned that if I don't declare it, it may count as deception, but I think it is anyway no big deal to have an impact anyway.

Declaring PCN on Naturalisation Application?

Hello,

I have had 3 Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) for traffic fines to the total of £90 which were all paid promptly. Do I have to declare these in my naturalisation application? Will it make a difference on whether or not these are declared?

Many thanks.
