1. Phone Home Office hear what they say.
2. Speak to an agent who may want to submit your application on your behalve.

Convert to old HSMP to new HSMP (tier1)

I understand from reading all the topics that the new tier 1 system will allow ILR after 2 years.

I'm have HSMP now for 2 years. I'm thinking maybe I should apply/convert for the Tier1 VISA. Then it will mean I get ILR after 2 years ?

What do you think ?

How can they do this, if I get a new passport (i.e. if my old passport has expired) ?

Re: Forged Visa

Within two weeks of the expiry of her fiancee visa she informed me that she had obtained a business visa for 12 months. My understanding is in order to have a business visa you have to be associated with a company. Something like this: she works for a company in the Ukraine - they pay her expenses ...

Dear all, I have been getting a non-taxable payment as visiting fellow at an university (in the UK) since Nov 2004. I had applied for extension in Jan 2005 (1yr deadline was Feb 2005). The home office is not considering renewal as my payment is non-taxed. Does anyone know what can be done in such a ...

Think they will refuse. On the application form you must state the country you obtained your license.... you will have to fill in USA and they most likely to refuse. You can phone them and ask them ?

I made copies of my passport before I gave it to the DVLA. Plus I gave them a prepaid special delivery envelope. This was also at the DVLA in Wimbleton.

Have you received at least your DVLA license ? Or did they loose it before processing the application ?

Best to apply again for EC when you have a job in the UK.

The Immigration officer won't ask for the HSMP letter.

Funny, with £9000 in a bank account they should approve your EC, the £9000 will exclude credit limits. Must be be able to draw the cash in the UK.

Other reasons why they can refuse your EC is your EC application is not consistant with your HSMP application.

At worse we will have to wait an extra year. The point made that you will have to apply for 1 year and then ILR will be restrain on IND resources, unless they going to charge a lot of money for such applications to recover the costs. I think the reason for the letter change is to be political ...
