Re: Spouse Visa Seperation

Thank you all for the replies. I was aware that I would be paying child support, I had hoped that I wouldn't have to pay support for my wife as well as I won't be able to afford that. I also thought perhaps that with my son being British citizen that she might at least receive child benefit for him ...

Spouse Visa Seperation

Hi All My wife is here from Brazil on a UK spouse visa. She arrived at the end of July 2014 with our son who is now 5. Our son was born in Brazil but now goes to school here in the UK and has a British passport. My wife and I have decided to separate, we spent too long apart and have changed as ...

Re: World Bridge Issue (Brazil)

Thanks, I'll drop them an email and see. I've also emailed World Bridge, the previous company who processed the biometric info and am waiting on a reply from them. It's just typical that after 3 years of preparation and seeing each other only on occasion that when we are finally ready something like ...

World Bridge Issue (Brazil)

Hi All I made an application for a uk spouse visa for my Brazilian wife online on 16th Feb as documents can take weeks to reach where she lives in middle of nowhere Brazil and it stated that documents were considered valid at the time of application, and a biometric appointment could be made within ...

I'm not sure how much clearer I can make it but here goes:

As I will be applying via category A once I have been in my job 6 months, will it be an issue that my payslips are 4 weekly not monthly?

If you non-salaried then you just have to total six months wage slips. In this case they do not count the minimum for every month. People who get paid according to the hours worked are non-salaried. So you just add all the wage slips of 6 months, divide by 6, and then multiply by 12. Six months ...

Do you get a salary aka fixed wage, or do you get paid according to the hours worked? That minimum of 6 months thing is only relevant if you get a salary aka fixed wage and applying under cat A. If you are applying under cat B, then the gross of 12 months that matters, not any minimum or maximum ...

Hi

Another thing - I get paid 4 weekly so 13 times in one year but I heard they take the lowest payslip of the 6 months and times by 12 but as mine is over 13 months it wouldn't show the needed amount over 12, if I send my work contract aswell, will that be ok?

Thanks

That is really unfortunate that your agency is not willing to verify your payslips. Although it will be tough to remain seperated further, it might be worth just hanging on and collating 6 payslips in your current job. Yes, your son is British so you don't need to sponsor him. Does he have a ...

So it sounds like I could apply via cat B but with my bank accounts not looking great my best bet is to wait until I have been in my job for 6 months, my previouse payslips from my employment agency are rubbish black and white printouts but having spoken to them there is nothing else that they will ...

UK Spouse Visa Questions - Odd Situation

Hi I have posted here before but my situation has changed and I really need some advice. I lived in Brazil, fell in love with my now wife and in 2009 our son was born. In 2011 we decided that we wanted to make a go of living in the UK. i moved back on my own in April 2011 and started working. My ...

Hi

Thanks for your answer that's great.

One other issue that I have is that all my supporting documents take about 4 weeks to arrive in middle of nowhere Brazil, so they will not be current 6 months when my wife makes her application, will this be an issue and if so what else could I do?

Thanks

Hi

I am finally in a job earning more than the required £18,600 per year but I have been earning this amount for the last 6 months, does this mean that I have to wait until I have 6 months of payslips showing this amount?

Also will my wife need me to send her my passport or a certified copy?

Thanks

I thought that she might be questioned as we are now married and she has been before. She passed her English test for the visa but she can't speak enough to answer immigration officers questions. Would it help if I went and got them?

Yes, I've just looked back over the thread and it's confusing as he is asking if it's okay for his son to come to the UK on a Brazilian passport. I think the next post from the OP should be a brief summary of his immediate circumstances, where he and his family are now, on what immigration status ...

I recentley lost my job so the application got stalled, I think I read that I have to be employed for 6 months now before applying again, is that right? Is there any way around that?

Thanks

That';s what I thought but as you say can take some time. What is the worst that could happen if she came on spouse visa with him on Brazilian passport? It's unlikely that they are going to refuse entry for him/both isn't it?

Thanks again for your help.

I will meet her here as I work and although I earn enough to meet the requirments I really do not have the money for a ticket to pick them up or an ROA certificate as I just checked the fees. Should I get them to apply for a British passport for him from Brazil? Being in love with someone from ...

There may be a few questions on arrival and it would make life easier if you were to get a British consular BC before you travel. He will be admitted but they will insist that you to resolve this matter by applying for a passport before he seeks entry the next time. Thanks Lucapooka, so if I get a ...

Hi All

I'm still looking for answers to the above - Is my son going to be ok to come with my wife to England on a Brazilian passport?

Also should I get his birth certificate translated to use as proof we have met?

Thanks!

Thanks, of course, she has passed that!

No I was intending to let him come on the Brazilian passport and then apply for a British one once he is here. :?

Unfortunately, the new regulations introduced on July 9th require you, as the sponsor, to be earning a minimum of £18,600 per annum, or have savings of £16,000 or over. This is regardless of your outgoings. I thought it was something like £732 after rent is paid. I am earning £21,000 with rent at £5 ...
