You do not need to trace your marriage certificate. You an get one made now, post facto. You need to go to a marriage registrar in India and request one. He will need a photograph of your ceremony, an invitation card and 2/3 witnesses who were present in your marriage. After one month of posting a n...

I went through the same scenario in my mind when I applied last year, and as far as I could tell, there is no rule to revoke it after approval for traffic violation ( severe criminal offence could be another matter). However, for all practical purposes my solution was the following 1. Get the ceremo...

I have always wondered whether, in these sort of situations (long delays with a clean application), it is better to make another fresh application. It is not illegal to do so ( and there is no requirement to declare that, since there is no such question in the forms), and if the first application wa...

Again, in my case, my father was born in Dhaka. I listed it as Dhaka, Undivided India, currently in Bangladesh). That was sufficient. It another matter what good such an info is to UKBA; given that none of this can be proven one way or another ( Dhaka saw 2 civil wars - 1947 and 1971 and countless f...

Difficult to provide clear answer since you dont provide details; but a safe way I used was to put the new name and in brackets put ' previously known as XXXXX. That will tie the names together neatly. Coming from India, where we change names of cities just for the fun if it; I can understand the pr...

You are really trying to make it more complicated than it is. If he applied in July, a decision is likely to be made shortly. Even if he notify the HMRC, it will not affect this year tax code. Even if it does, it is unlikely to be spotted by the HO. Even if they spot it, it will not affect the appl...
