Vinny, Apparently, Serbians are non-visa nationals, as Serbia is not listed in Appendix 1 - Visa requirements for the United Kingdom. We are married and I am also British by birth.
However I would like to apply for her British passport via decent, not spousal visa.
Out of curiosity, is Citizenship by decent more favourable in some way or is there another reason?

Congratulations. I know you are not in rush for the Passport but keep in mind you would not be able to travel back into Uk on your old passport unless you have right of abode stamped in it ( which in itself would be not wise to do if you arer to do anything than is to get the passport processed). It might be worth posting this query on an accounting or tax planning forum of some sort as people here generally know more about immigration than financial matters.

Dual tax treaties between countries, UK domicile etc are often complex matters so even talking to a tax advisor might be worth it.

Aren't you stating the obvious?

No one here is a professional immigration adviser so any advice should only be used as a guide and not be relied upon without verification. This applies to most internet forums.

The government severely underestimated the impact that opening the EU borders would have on this country, so it is always best to overestimate than underestimate. I would argue opening of the EU borders has created the exact impact it was designed to - migrate jobs to where they are needed quickly ...

I didnt need this. Accountant letter and contract were enough. Those self made employment confirmation letters are a bit silly unless you have a company secretary who issues/signs it.

Since my last P60 was for April 2008 she then wanted all the payslips since then. I explained I left my job in June 2008 so she was happy with the April to June payslips and P45. A...

Apparently my passport was stamped and posted today. So my in-person PEO appointment was 5th May which makes it around 2 weeks turnaround.

It is possible there is an inconsistency between Liverpool and Croydon then. The managers at Croydon told me the policy only became known end of last week and if I came a few days earlier I would have been ok. I would suggest you phone Liverpool up and ask about this because chances are they are als...
