We pay taxes in the UK and donot claim any benefits. 2) My mother has been a house wife all her life and a widow since 1996 and has...

Re: November 2013 - Naturalization Application Timeline

It appears that the Home office has deducted the fee from my credit card as my available balance has reduced by the amount of fee paid. We applied on Nov 17th, 2013.

Shall confirm tomorrow after checking with the bank.

Re: older relatives (mum)

Hello, I would like to bring my mum as an elderly dependent on my ILR after one year. What all should I do to prepare for this? She is in her 70s, a widow and no other sibling. How can I show that she is financially and emotionally dependent on me? What else do I need to do from now onwards? On one...

I spoke to the NCS service at the council again. She confirmed that all i need is my degree certificate in English and my LiUK test original Is this because the UKBA can check by themselves if the degree has been taught in English? Did anyone who emailed UKBA for clarification on the English langua...

I have booked an NCS appointment for Nov 18,2013. They say that as long as the degree certificate is in English and I have passed the LiUK test, there is no need for any additional documents.

Re: URGENT REQUEST

You may be aware there is a parliamentary debate on family immigration, next week. A group has gotten in touch with me particularly asking for stories of people affected by the adult dependant - elderly parent - route, so they can raise this in the debate next week. Please, this is OUR CHANCE. Send...

Appeal in the court of law

Hello Folks, I am all game to take this battle (ILR for genuine dependant and elderly parents) to the court of law. I want to get my elderly mother an opportunity so that she doesnt have to return to India within 180 days. It is cruel and against the norm of family life. How can we proceed on this? ...
