The requirement is to have a valid passport for entry to the UK, so take both DK (valid) and UK (expired) passports. Show both - it shouldn't be a problem as UK citizens cannot be refused entry to the UK. Maybe a few extra minutes of questions.
Thank you so much, that's reassuring!

Travel into UK with EU passport (UK citizen with expired UK passport)

Hello, My husband is a UK and Danish citizen. His UK passport has expired but he has not renewed it yet because he wants to change his last name first, and that is taking a while as has to be done in the Danish passport first. We have a trip booked to Israel this summer, will he be about to get back...

Mine has been processing for 3 months and nothing yet. Very tempted to send email but wouldn't I just get the standard reply that it can take up to 6 months or even more? OP let us know if you do email and hear back.
Never mind, got my letter one day after posting this. Good luck!

Re: SS Route and CSI

So happy to hear this thread helped someone!
I officially gained PR in December :)
I did indeed add some of my husband's payslips since Nov 2016 as well as a letter from his employer (where he's been working since then).
Good luck!

Re: Surinder Singh - Switching to UK visa?

I think it's possible but I wonder why would you want to do that? The Surinder Singh route is a much quicker and cheaper way of gaining PR and naturalisation. Hello, we won’t qualify for permanent residence as i wasn’t a qualified person for 5 years continuously. So looking at other options. I call...

Re: New statement of changes to the Immigration Rules: HC 1534

Really? So if applying for PR (EEA4) as a family member of a British Citizen (Surinder Singh) before November 1st, once I get my passport back I cannot travel? I have a lot of business travel. I even asked people who work at immigration at London airports what would happen if I arrived with only my ...

Re: New statement of changes to the Immigration Rules: HC 1534

I see that applicants who get their passports back during an application would not be able to travel outside the UK without their application becoming withdrawn, if one applies after November 1st - is that correct?
This is a really terrible change!

Re: Travelling during PR application

I will send a pre-paid envelope with my application like you, that is a really great idea and I think I did that for my RC application too. Re: Travelling during PR application

To clarify, I am an Israeli national. Would I be able to re-enter the country while application was ongoing? Would they be able to see in the computer what visa I was under and that I have been in and out many times over the past 5 years?

Travelling during PR application

Hello all, I am due to apply for Permanent Residence soon via Surinder Singh. My current five year residence card will expire in mid November and I assume I can apply at any stage until then, and will have to submit this card. My questions: 1. At what stage can I ask for my passport back? When I rec...
