Re: EU national. How to settle in UK despite possible EU exi

You won't find any laws about this subject, simply due to the fact that they don't exist. There is no legal framework regarding EU-state citizens statuses if the UK drops out of the EU. But some people clearly speak about it with certainty, see quotes above. One person said that everyone who made E...

Re: EU national. How to settle in UK despite possible EU exi

In addition to what I wrote above I have found another quote which states: If you have already been working/studying (or otherwise exercising treaty rights with the proper medical insurance if required) you would already be eligible for PR in the UK. That way, leaving the EU wouldn't have an impact...

Re: CSI

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here... It sounds like during this break, you are either seeking work in the near future, or you are already hired and just taking a break before you begin your new job. If that is so, I don't think you need to claim as self-sufficient during this period? You ...

Hi All, Just need a quick clarification regarding CSI as I read some contradictory posts... I was a exercising my treaty rights as a worker for the past 3.5 years and am now on a voluntary 3 month break from work before I start a new job in January. I purchased CSI from the date I stopped working s...

Treaty rights - no (if hold PR for more than 1 year). Residence - yes for the full 5 years. Not just last one.
I stand corrected. Thanks.

Thank you for the prompt response. Yes, I have passed the course as a Second Language. The certificate shows my grades in full detail including the oral exam. I must have misunderstood the application form and comments I have read here on the forum. People mentioned that you did not need to prove t...

Re: EEA4 fast processing times or wishful thinking

Hi Everyone!! Today was my lucky day  Just got a call from my solicitor telling me my PR arrived. My journey wasn't so easy though, I applied end of may with my mom and after one month she got her PR and mine was refused due to lack of proof for residency for the 5 years (which I actually sent...

Re: Valid EEA Permanent Residence Card / Expired Passport

If the holder can travel with valid RC on expired passport while having a renewed passport too then it should be acceptable to employers as well. If you have reached to the stage of upgrading your PR into British citizenship then doing that maybe more wise. I agree with you, it should, but here we ...

Re: Valid EEA Permanent Residence Card / Expired Passport

I have been informed to apply for a Biometric Residence Card and of course renew my non-EU passport. It is all money making. Unfortunately, I am unable to take the new contract until I have all of this done. There are no biometric residence cards for EEA nationals or family members, so basically yo...

Re: Valid EEA Permanent Residence Card / Expired Passport

This is quite frustrating. During the last 4 years I've used my EEA2 residence card, which was affixed in an expired passport. I have never faced any issues in the border or anywhere else. The EEA2 residence card vignette is a document on itself, with its own expiry date. Why would the expiry date ...

Country of issue = The Netherlands. Place of issue (if ever asked) would be Thailand. For the Easyjet advance passenger information, the answer should be Netherlands (twice). I don't anything i said on this thread is inconsistent with the reply UKBA gave in that thread. UKBA mentioned an independent right to employment. This means employment that is not dependent on the EEA national right of residence. I don't support their views, but it is the view they take at present...

Re: self sufficient eea2

Do you have a steady source of income (i.e. your income - not your EEA's)? If so, I'd advise you to get a joint account with your wife and have your wage paid into this account. This would satisfy the requisite of her having regular access to funds.

I would assume why not use the EU gate with a PR - the whole point of "full" passport control is to make sure the people entering are legit. We', on the other hand, have already been checked and re-checked by HO. :?: There may be one or another Immigration Officer that may tell you are on...
