Re: Effect of speed points by court on Naturalization Applic

My interpretation of the wording in the application form is that traffic convictions and FPNs gain weight in the eyes of the HO if they are repeated and show a pattern of 'bad behavior' vs 'good character'. I would imagine someone with 25 FPNs would concern a HO case worker, but someone with one or ...

Re: September 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

the figures from FOIR tell the real story: 1. the drop in processing rate in the summer months is due to the passport backlog that was reported at the time. (30 in September means you have one person to deal with thousands of applications) 2. this is coupled by the untimely recent changes to good ch...

Re: January 2015 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

this is the result of recent changes to the good character criteria. thousands of decisions were delayed and now it is clear that BC applications will no longer be the same. cases will start to go to court and it will take years to overturn wrong decisions. by using any standard reasoning, you canno...

Re: effect of changes to nationality: good character

You likely can not get your money back as firstly, you do not have a right to citizenship and secondly, you would have applied only after being satisfied yourself that you meet the good character requirements. I think you got it wrong here. When i satisfied myself with the good character requiremen...

effect of changes to nationality: good character

hi guys, I have a few questions to the gurus here: 1. the changes are effective from 11/12/2014 and they are affecting decisions and not applications. So, any application submitted before this date and no decision is being made yet will be subjected to these changes. my question is, is this legal? i...

finally got my ILR.

applied on 07/03/2013
ILR granted on 05/11/2013
Biometric card still to be re-delivered by DX.

just a note of caution. this DX company is a con. they did leave my card in a house about 200 yards away. only chance made the card comes back to me after 3 days!

good luck everyone.

The letter was your decision as a successful refugee status should be enough to have access to health care, benefit system, etc... When you go to your gp, tell them that the HO does not return my passport and I am waiting for a TD showing evidence of this if possible. If no good, contact citizen adv...

@slave
it is not clear what your situation is. pleasde answer the following questions to try and help.

1. have you been granted refugee status?
2. have you received a letter confirming this?
3. have you tried to get help from CAB?
4. have you written to them a letter to complain?

good luck

Hi all,

After 310 days (10 months and six days), I received my TD (first one).

I wrote twice UKBA. The first was to TD section after the 6th month. the second was a week ago to their complaints Dept.

wish you all the best of luck.

I do not think that it makes any difference if it is the first or second TD. It looks like the UKBA TD staff are asleep or busy sorting out other outstanding applications in other departments. I think the best option is to complain now. This is my next step. If all of us (those waiting 6+ months) se...

Had a similar situation. Did not cancel my application for TD but applied for ILR and explained the situation and that my original doc still with UKBA. Took the fees, did bio, and received acknowledgment letter. Not sure though what will happen.
