Used December 2012 form AN, not Sept 2013

Hi I applied for naturalisation on the 21st of October 2013 and printed off the form a few weeks before I submitted the application. It was form AN dated 'December 2012'. I only realised that there was a newer version (Sept 2013) after I sent my application in. From what I could see, the only differ...

I think I may have given you the wrong advise.. I found the following on the net: Children under 18 are not naturalised as British Citizens, but depending on circumstances they can often become registered as such. For example, where a child was born in the UK to parents who held limited leave to rem...

My youngest was born in the UK prior to us receiving ILR. This meant that he had to apply for ILR as well when we applied for ours, as he was born prior to us having ILR status. So no, in my opinion you cannot get them naturalised as they have Srilankan nationality and are not ILR holders in the UK....

I just had a look at the fees and it states: 'The total amount including the ceremony fee is shown on the tariff overleaf'. I would think this means that the £80 pp ceremony fee is included in the £1 550. The only time you have to include an extra £80 is when you apply for a child who will turn 18 d...

I have just emailed UKBA and received the following reply: "I can confirm that a package with the tracking number you gave was received on 22/10/2013. You should receive an acknowledgment letter between 4-6 weeks after we received your application. During busy periods this may even take 7 weeks as p...

You don't actually meet your caseworker until after a decision has been made. I submitted the documents that were listed in the guidance of SET(O). The only document that I submitted that might not have been necessary was our tenancy agreement as I had proof of us living together for the past 5 year...

Hi there

I used a credit card from Santander. No problem with the payment, I just phoned them two days before and told them that I will make a big payment and it will show up as Home Office or UKBA.

Success - PEO Cardiff (11/10/2012)

We went to apply for our ILR today in Cardiff. I was the main applicant and my husband and two sons (7 and 1 years old) were dependants on the application. Our appointment was for 08:30. We arrived at 08:00 as they request that you arrive 30 mins early. We waited for approx 10 minutes before going t...

I have to say after my rant last night of not being able to book an appointment, I went online about lunchtime today and found a slot at Cardiff PEO on the 11th of October! To say I'm over the moon is putting it mildly :D

Good luck with your application, I am trying to get a PEO appointment as I don't want to wait for 6 months but no luck yet. Will try again at midnight, going to be a looong day again tomorrow :)

Not able to book PEO appointment for ILR

Hi there Is it even possible to book a PEO appointment online? I set my alarm for midnight last night, tried until 01:15 and nothing but 'technical error'! I have tried at least 50 times today as well, and guess what... nothing! I see loads of you have managed to get one - how?? I don't want to do a...

Hi there I phoned HO yesterday regarding this same issue; the man I spoke to said that they realise that this is very unclear but they have done nothing to change the form! He is not sure himself what the correct answer would be! I said to him that it sounds like it should be the salary listed as th...
