Re: FLR(M) waiting times

I call them daily and I am always told the same thing: They haven't made a decision yet and they can't tell me how much longer it will be. I haven't received any letters since the end of July and when I call them they can tell me that they have not sent any more letters. When we applied from the USA...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

I applied for an FLR(M) in the middle of July and still haven't received my visa. It's been 10 weeks tomorrow. After applying we got a biometric request for me to get finger prints at a post officer near by. I completed this within 2 days of receiving the letter. According to other posts here I sho...

The visa4uk website is broken and has been for the past two weeks. My wife applied and paid for her visa on the website and received no confirmation of any kind. She logged back in only to be told to pay again. However the money was taken from her account! After a week of no progress she paid again ...

Over two weeks have now passed. $3400 have been taken from me by the UKBA and I haven't even received a confirmation. My wife has missed TWO biometrics appointments due to lack of paperwork on the UKBA side. The website tells me I need to pay for my application despite the fact I have paid for it TW...

I have a London based solicitor handing my case and they have been in communication with the UKBA. It sounds like the whole system is in disarray...There is no clear date/time when it will be fixed. I have given up hope of getting this resolved anytime soon. My wife has missed two biometrics appoint...

Visa4UK Website Broken

I'm not sure if anyone else is having a problem with the Visa4UK website but my experience has been pretty dire. I applied for my wife's spouse visa on the OLD website last Monday just before it was shut down for maintenance. I went through the whole process and paid etc. However, when I logged back...

So are you saying that the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 still applies for immigration purposes or not? As far as I can tell from reading the rules, all immigration decisions will now be based on UKBA defined criminality thresholds based on the LASPO bill. So the Rehabilitation of Offenders A...

How are foreign criminal convictions handled now?

Hi, My wife and I are planning on submitting our application for a spouse visa to the UK at the end of the summer however there is one sticking point, she has a misdemeanor conviction in the USA from 2009. She received a non-custodial sentence in the USA (fine + 3 years probation) all of which she p...

Bunzidia, Do you believe you meet all of the typical spouse visa requirements? I.e. financial, accommodation, language, relationship etc? What was the exact wording of the refusal?

What visa is your wife currently on?

Why are you applying in form FLR(O). What doesn't she apply from the United States on a typical spouse visa?

Why can't you simply go back to your home country and apply for a UK spouse visa? It will almost certainly be much quicker than waiting for an uncertain decision on a DLR application within the UK.

Is there some reason you would not be eligible for a spouse visa?

When to apply for spouse visa with past convictions

Hi, I am just trying to decide when to apply for a spouse visa for my wife. She has a past conviction in the USA from 2009 for which she received 3 years probation... According to the new rules on criminality posted in December 2012 she should be clear of the criminality threshold if she has not bee...
