Re: Joint naturalisation - only one approval so far

Thank you. It turns out I was being impatient.
My approval came today, two days later - though the date on the approvals themselves were 9 days between them.

Joint naturalisation - only one approval so far

I know I'm being impatient, but.. My partner and I applied for naturalisation some 4 months ago. It was a joint application. Today, only one letter arrived. It was addressed to me (since I am the lead applicant), but it contained a confirmation of approval for my partners application only. Is it usu...

Re: Citizenship application - NonEEA - proof of living in the UK

OP hasn't stated "applying as a Non EU national married to EU citizen" - applicant had to register with the police over some years which is not required for EU nationals or their non-EU family members, as far as I know. That's correct. We are both Non-EU nationals. I'm from a commonwealth country, ...

Did you asked whether the appointments will be continued to be offered by the UKVCAS during the lockdown or not? Can you share the phone number you called?
I did not. The number I called was for UKVCAS, 0844 892 0232

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Update: Called the UK Visas & Immigration Contact Centre on 0300 123 2241, which was the number in the emails. The first couple of options I tried were each dead-ends, with automated messages essentially telling me they could not provide me with additional information. The third option I tried dire...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Nevertheless, given CULLINAN's advice, I will try to contact UKVI this morning to confirm whether this was boilerplate or specific instructions. Update: Called the UK Visas & Immigration Contact Centre on 0300 123 2241, which was the number in the emails. The first couple of options I tried were ea...

Re: Citizenship application - NonEEA - proof of living in the UK

That works, thank you. We've progressed to the next stage now... I expected I might have to dig a little for a UKVCAS appointment.. I did not expect to find no appointments available at all, across the entire country. It's no surprise to find this out after I've paid the application fee : :| The web...

Oh, we also have a letter from an immigration lawyer from 2014 (which of course accompanies an invoice  ) if that counts for anything.

Re: Citizenship application - NonEEA - proof of living in the UK

The police registration was a requirement of the visa conditions for the first few years, so I have to expect they would recongise this.. but certainly if we can supplement it at all, I will feel better about things. We do have a letter from the Home Office, but it's a few months shy of the 5 year r...

Citizenship application - NonEEA - proof of living in the UK

The application process for a citizenship application states that my partner must provide proof of living in the UK for 5 years. I've copied the text from the application website below. Quite specifically, it asks for a passport with an entry stamp. The passport used when he first entered the countr...

Ok. Thanks Greenie.
I've PM'd you, but I believe the institution is accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education, as well as the Association of Independent Higher Education Providers (AIHEP) and the DFE.

Work Permit with Tier 4 not being issued

I'm writing this on behalf on a friend. He is currently in the UK improving his English, and is soon to apply for a Tier 4 Student (Adult) visa at a NQF 6/QCF 6 level. The policy guidance for this visa states that he will be allowed to work up-to 20 hours per week, and that he "can do this work with...
