So we have just contacted the GNIB office in Dublin by phone and they said there is nothing that can be done apart from getting the card returned by the Citizenship Department. They cannot issue a re-entry visa as these have been abolished and the requirement is now lifted for the Christmas season....

Quick update guys ,I have started legal proceeding today ,the cost is around 431 euros including VAT which includes all the communication with the department ,the solicitor was saying that the passport office has no legs to stand on as they have already confirmed our identity by virtue of PSC card ...

Hi, You can send your IRP card with bank draft 950 without any hesitation.There wont be any issue at all trust me as you still have the valid IRP card. you should not be worried in regard to this even if you dont get an invite for next ceremoney. Once your wife gets her citizenship. You can apply your citizenship on her behalf if you are married to her minimum three years.But i am not sure if you would require to change your stamp from 4eufam to 4 only.

There is an update on INIS website saying next ceremony will take place on 30 sep 2019 in kerry.
