EEA application sent early November
COA received October 24th
Realise I forgot to send my passport!!
Sent passport October 30th
Received resident document May 9th!!!! I can finally get my driving license and start working. Took just over 6 months I think it was the post that delayed it slightly

Ahhhh this isn't fair I just checked my COA and we recieved it 09/Oct/2012 and people have gotten there's already who have gotten the coa's after me :( BULL

We applied and my mum, annoying, forgot to send my passport. Me and my twin brother both got our coa's pretty quickly, my brother has the right to work but obviously I don't. Will this slow my application. We sent off the passport 2 weeks after we sent the application.

just to clarify if I get the COA can I use that to study, and at this moment am I legally allowed to study? You should be able to. You are right now legally able to study! Check with your school/university to see if they are happy with the COA. Otherwise you may need to educate/fight with them ...

You used to have two problems: what would I do if I get caught working illegally and how do I prove to an employer that I can work. Now you just have just the second problem, since you can work legally. You can apply now for a Residence Card. When that is processed you will get the COA which will ...

You may need to prove it to your employer. But in the mean time you can work all you want without fear. If June was your first entry into the UK, then your five year clock began then. If she is working in the UK, or is otherwise a qualified person, then you right now have a right to be in the UK and work. Did you enter the UK together?
