Additionally, did you have continuous valid visa? And did you ask your Indian company for the employer letter quoting ILR as the requirement or told them it is for something else: -)

As a workaround, please select Tier 1 general, it should do the trick.

Curtailment of leave and ILR application

Hi Amber/Moderators, I just came across the below example in the "Curtailment of Leave" document located at https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/307844/Curtailment_v11_0_EXT.pdf A Tier 2 migrant applies for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) having built up five ye...

Re: 13 day gap between 2 visas. Am I eligible for ILR

Hi Amber, I might be missing something here but wouldn't 2 different categories of visas can be combined for 10 years long residence route? In Doshi's case here, it's a combination of tier 1 partner visa and tier 2 general visa, so I guess Doshi will be eligible in 2017 in the 5 year route, please c...

Hi Agastya80, Hearty congratulations mate. A couple of questions if that's ok to ask. 1) Did you submit your ex-employer letter for annual leaves absences? 2) How did you manage your unpaid absences? I can see you submitted only 1 month payslip and bank statement to avoid being questioned about unpa...

No problem mate - just another bit of information for you. If you return to your home country before the completion of 10 years, you can still keep your chances of 10 settlement route alive if you come back with a new entry clearance within 180 days. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uplo...

Re: Tier 2 ICT Established staff to ILR

Yes sorry, I misread his original post and assumed that he wants to switch. If he can manage to get ICT extended until Apr-2021 (next to impossible thing if he is from an Indian IT company :-)), then he can apply for ILR in the 10 years route (provided rules don't change your until then).

Re: Tier 2 ICT Established staff to ILR

Hi Manci, Wouldn't the total number of years of stay be capped to 6 years as per the new rule? I guess there is still lot of ambiguity around this rule within the HO as well as people who are switching from ICT to tier 2 General seem to be getting leave extended to beyond 6 years. http://www.immigra...

Re: RLMT Exempt?

That is applicable you were initially sponsored by them and you are applying to extend your leave which is not the case in your scenario as this is the first time they will be sponsoring you, hence you will be subject to RLMT unless the job is on shortage of occupancy list. You will need a restricte...

Re: Will UK Tier 2 Visa deny due to below reason? Please hel

I agree with trueblue19 that it's not a serious issue. However, it is up to the case worker who is going to decide on your application - if he/she thinks that you are trying to hide something, they might very well refuse the visa. I would say hope for the best, you should be alright. Not sure if you...

1. As your initial visa was issued against the immigration routes in place after July-2012, you will be subject to 12 months cooling period before you can apply for a tier 2 general visa. 2. When you become eligible, your new employer can process CoS and you can apply for an entry clearance visa wit...

Apologies for jumping on like this but I thought this question is very much relevant here and benefit several others who are in a similar situation. The question is: To avoid the cooling, can a person get his/her dependent spouse switch to tier 4 within country (if the spouse is here or apply for en...
