Re: asylum fresh claim processing time

Hi all, I got a friend in the UK who wanted to claim asylum. He phoned the asylum unit to make an appointment for "screening", but they gave him a reference number and asked him to call after 10 days, after 10 days they told him to seek legal advice from a solicitor. I understand because of Coronavi...

Asylum Screening Delay

Hi all, I apologise if I am posting in the wrong section. I simply couldn't find a place where to ask my asylum-related question. I got a friend in the UK who wanted to claim asylum. He phoned the asylum unit to make an appointment for "screening", but they gave him a reference number and asked him ...

Re: Return of Documents.

Hi all, I don't think this has to do with the signature because they said the BRP card will be delivered and requires proof of identity as well. I think they handle refused (appealed) cases differently. I assume my passport is held by different unit (in case of deportation or something similar) afte...

Re: Return of Documents.

This is exactly what they said in the decision letter: "In line with current advice on social distancing, we have made changes to our working practices. As such, we are unable to facilitate the return of your passport currently. Once these current measures have been lifted, arrangements will be made...

Re: Return of Documents.

My leave was fine when I applied. It is a long story and will summerise it. Back in September 2019, I applied for FLR-LR, however, because I did not complete the 10 years (missing two months), the home office had to refuse my application. I appealed the decision and the judge allowed the appeal base...

Does anybody know what's going on, and why social distancing affecting the return of my passport? Is this considered common practice these days or it is just me? I appr...

If your current visa hasn't expired, you may do a fresh application, if it is expired and UKBA gave you the right to appeal, get a sponsorship letter from her, if she is willing to pay for your study and sort out a good case. Appeal time is very short though, if you don't act now, you will be consid...

Lost documents

Failed my Tier4 application  given the right to appeal, but UKBA has lost my original certificate and transcript. One of the reasons they refused my application was because of no original certificate submitted, I am sure I did provide them... I plan to appeal, but not sure what do? Please help....
