Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

I really don’t know if you need every page but I would do it anyway. You should be able to scan the whole passport as one pdf for under 6mb by compressing it.

Re: SET(M) Bank Statements Question

As long as the file does not exceed 6 mb, you can merge documents.

Re: Please explain why you and your partner cannot live together outside the UK?

Keep in mind that these questions are only pertinent if you do not fulfil the requirements. Once you meet all the requirements, it does really matter how you answer but, of course, do give honest answers!

Re: Decision Letter and BRP card?

Some people get the decision letter first and then the BRP. Others get the BRP first. The letter comes signed for by mail and the BRP by courier.

Yes, we did. They weren’t generated by the application but we downloaded, signed and uploaded just to be on the safe side.

Declarations and Consents for SET(M)

I am seeing different information on the requirement for a sponsor Declaration and Consents as part of the application form for SET(M). Some say there are no consent forms for SET(M) and some that there is just a Declaration form for the sponsor. But now I read that there is a Declaration for the ap...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

I don’t think you could request a refund in this instance as it was the fault of the Sopra Steria official who did not scan and upload the necessary documents. That was really bad! I am so glad HO wrote to you and asked for the documents rather than refusing the visa.

Re: UKVCAS Service Centre - Super Priority Service

I cannot help with choosing the centre but I have scanned our files at 150dpi in pdf format. This way you can merge each passport page so that the passport is just one file. Each file must not be bigger than 6mb and some may have to be compressed. I used PDFOptim for that.

I’m pretty sure it just asked about children, not dependent children, so I will leave it as it is. I will check it out. Thank you again!

Re: How long have you lived in the UK

Have not tried that format as yet but have yet another question! We answered 'yes' to 'do you have any children? ' because we have two, but as they are 44 and 50, I am not sure we should have answered yes. I am hoping that having done so, we will not be asked for birth certificates etc in the Docume...

Re: How long have you lived in the UK

Thank you for the assurance! You really are very helpful! Another question has arisen! I have even tried...

Re: How long have you lived in the UK

We have now reached the end of the Application section of the Application form and it gives you an opportunity to review your answers and edit if necessary before continuing to the next section which is Finance. I know I have been assured that one can edit the entire form until such time as it is su...

Cannot move on from entering maiden name of partner SET(M)

We are preparing my husband’s SET(M) form but are now stuck. At one point it asks if the partner (me) has, or has ever had, another name and that it includes a maiden name. So, I click Yes , Save and Continue, and arrive at the page where I enter my maiden name, Save and Continue and it takes me rig...

How long have you lived in the UK

This question apparently appears on the SET(M) form. Even though my husband will have actually lived here for 4 years 11 months, allowing for the 28 days before the 5th Anniversary eligibility, do we put that or do we put 5 years, please?

Re: Documents Scanned in Color instead of B&W for ILR

I am using Windows 10 and scanned them in with my Epson Printer/scanner. The scans go into Photos (sometimes! I do have problems at times). In photos you can select groups and then print as PDF. I am sure there is other software for this. I also use a pdf compressor when the file is too big.

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

The super priority service refers to the extra payment you make to the HO when submitting your application. It is supposed to deliver a decision in 24 hours following your biometric appointment at a Sopra Steria Centre. So it does not matter which centre you attend. If you have paid the extra £800, ...

No, but I have seen other posters concerned about this issue. If you put 'child benefit' in the search bar, some similar situations might come up. All the best in sorting this out!
