technoguy,
I checked with the BRP Error team, they asked me to send the Passport, BRP card and a covering letter explaining the problem. They said they will amend the place of birth to show only the City/Town.
I will be sending it tomorrow.

Place of birth in the BRP card

FYI: There is a restriction of 16 characters for the place of birth field in the BRP card. In my passport the place of birth was shown as City + State and i entered the same in the application form. In the BRP card the State name is shown partially. So i had to send it for correction. When you enter...

I think the employer can only confirm the annual leaves we have taken during the employment. How can they confirm that we went abroad unless it was part of a business trip. For the absences from uk we can show entry/exit stamps, boarding passes, itineraries, etc.

I have taken passport size photo graphs from snappysnaps today as per the visa guidelines in the site. Overall the photos looks ok. It is around 42% increase for people with dependants!!! Though they mentioned that it is due to inflation(Retail Price Index is 3.3%). I don't think anybody will object this increase.

There are many many appointments available through out Feb in Cardiff PEO for single applicants. Search with the date you are looking for. Hi,
Since you are just 2 weeks short, try to negotiate with your company if possible. If they grant 2 weeks extension it will make it easier. Also try to offer them a 2-3 weeks of upaid leave in Feb to compensate for the extension. I think it is worth giving a try.

Please see my understanding below. 'Fine' issued by a court is considered as non-custodial sentence. Fixed Penalty Notices(FPN) is not same as 'Fine'. UKBA considers the FPN issued by court as a conviction. However the caseworker may choose to ignore some FPN based on the nature of the offence. Drin...

Yes, that what my understanding. You need to declare only the major FPN like drink driving. No need to declare minor ones like speeding, parrking, etc, unless it is issued by court.

Traffic penalties are penalties under Traffic Act not under Immigration Act(my understanding).

I think they are asking for Civil Penalties under Immigration act, not normal civil penalties(PCNs). If you notice all the major(criminal) traffic offences are covered under section 7.2. I think we should write to UKBA about this issue. I can see more than 10 appointments for a single day but none when we add a dependent. Looks like some issue with the way they implemented the slot allocation. Or they want to discourage families applying at PEO? Has got appoint for for 1 Main +3 dep...
