I am curious to know how the non-EEA family member (if there is one) has managed to satisfy administrative formalities requiring proof of legitimate UK residence throughout this time. At the time I applied for my EEA2 (as an unmarried partner), I had been living in the UK for 5.5 years. The first 2...

Guys do they send you an email when the decision is taken?? No, they do not. The only way to find out if anything is happening is to check your Royal Mail tracking, assuming you provided them with a return satchel. Even then, they may not use! So, the first you'll know if you've been successful, is...

What exactly is the problem with waiting for a decision from the home office? EEA applications have already some safeguards to protect individual, I know we can handle things differently, but seriously loosing a sleep on an application which has been sent for consideration isn't gonna affect any ch...

Yes, you should be fine assuming that the tenancy agreement is signed by both of you, to rule out marriage of convenience. You can expect your residence card in about 8-10 weeks. Hi tjohnson, I've noticed you've quoted 8-10 weeks a couple of times for an EEA2 application...where did you get this in...

If it's less than six months since you applied, the response will likely be "wait until six months is up".

Hi Guys, 20 working days has passed since I asked UKBA to return my passport, but so far no news. Does anyone know the easiest and quickest way to get my passport back ASAP? I want to make use of it by end of the month. You can have a read of this thread: http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?...

Unlike applications under UK national immigration rules, applications under EEA Regulations don't get withdrawn if you ask for your documents back. It seems that you lawyer is not very familiar with the EEA regulations. It certainly does sound like the lawyer isn't familiar with the EEA regulations...

No - they don't automatically issue the document to the EEA national. It needs to be requested (applied for), and a photo needs to be provided too.

No lawful impediment to working without a National Insurance number, especially since one has been applied for. Hello, I just got married yesterday. I need to do this EEA2 visa. There is a problem about my partner's payslips. But the strange thing is that how they issue you COA which is normally issued once application is validated means all supporting documents received. That may be what is supposed to happen, however it is not necessarily what happens in practice. If they took all of the time to validate such document...
