Re: PR holder outside of UK looking for opportunities in UK

Does your friend have ILR issued under the UK Immigration Rules or Settled Status under Appendix EU? Yes, he has ILR. If your friend has been away from the UK since the Covid pandemic, that sounds like he had been away for more than two years and his ILR had already lapsed. He was back in UK in bet...

Do I qualify for British Citizenship?

I came to UK as a dependent of my wife. She then got British Passport. After 5 years of dependent visa, I got BRP(ILR) in 2019. My family moved back to home country in 2019 and I carried on in UK. But, when I was on a visit to home country, I got stuck in Covid lockdown for 2 years from 2020 to 2022...

Re: How the BLR and passport are mapped to each other?

Thinking of taking a chance. It will be very painful if entry is denied though :(

May be I should have taken the British passport when it was easy for me !

Any recent cases of denying entry for PR holders within 2 years of returning?

1. Any recent cases of being denied entry for PR holders within 2 years of returning? 2. Has anyone with PR been allowed recently even after 2 years of being away from UK? In that case, what are the valid reasons acceptable to immigration officers? I guess corona lockdown could be obvious. Even thou...

Re: How the BLR and passport are mapped to each other?

If you are in India, as your previous posts suggest you are a citizen of, there have been many opportunities and flights to return to the UK in the last two years. Given that your whole British family have moved with you, it is indicative that you had no intention of remaining in the UK post ILR be...

Re: How the BLR and passport are mapped to each other?

What visa I can apply if we are moving back to UK along with my family in coming years? I understand the rules can change in future but just wa...

Your dates are not correct that you have posted.

There have been flights.
Apologies for the wrong dates. It was 2020 instead of 2019. Thanks for pointing it out.

How the BLR and passport are mapped to each other?

I do not see the passport details on the BRP.
How the immigration officers map it to allow the entry? Do they just use biometric info?
If passport details are used, what happens when the passport is renewed ?

Kindly help.

I have seen this and it eventually takes to a page which says: Check the guidance notes to find out which supporting documents you must send with your application. That guidance notes also does not help much. According to our situation, we think we need to provide: 1. Child's 2 passport photos 2. Co...

I take print outs and photocopies at my work place that uses recycled paper which is brownish. Is it OK to use this for the visa application forms, supporting documents etc.? you have already completed your 5 years of qualifying period on 1st August 2018 for ILR. You could have applied for ILR 28 days earlier of 1st August 2018, that's what it means. Thank you for your reply. So, I can apply from 1-aug to my visa expiry date of 25-sep-18? And, hence my current PSC appoi...
