Re: UKBA receipt paying by debit card?

I was just curious about what the receipt looks like, if there is one for a debit card. I.e. does it just look like what comes out of the machine. Or is it a more formal receipt - e.g. saying for a Tier 1 application or whatever Need some sort of receipt to try and expense these fees :) I paid at m...

Hi and thank you KJdancer. Are you saying if one applies in person it will be two days instead of 8-10 months? If your case is straight-forward you can receive a same day approval for FLR(M) with an in person appointment. Your BRP will be delivered within 10 working days of the decision. I felt it ...

Had to revive this thread as reading it made me cry! Summary: Wife needed BRP surname changed to married name. Sent off Application 26th Feb (2013) Received letter dated 28th Feb. Received Enrollment invite 14th March. Enrolled 19th March. We urgently need to travel 6th April. I am sick to my stoma...

Your name in passport and BRP must match. After you change your name on your passport, you need to change your name on your BRP within 90 days.

Yeah 28 days is not enough. Too much paperwork for a new sponsor even if they have a certificate of sponsorship and an allocated spot open. I was told by the UKBA that the grace period of 28 days is NOT given after your visa expiry date. This may or may not have been true but we didn't risk it. You ...

Only 28 days to find a new sponsor or leave... Not cool. And yes, you can use just your income. It's different for us because we had permission to work in the UK prior to FLR(M). Someone who is on a visa where they cannot work (fiancé visa) or applying for initial entry as a spouse cannot use the no...

I switched from Tier 2 to FLR(M). Yes, it resets the clock so I have nearly 5 more years to go before I can apply for ILR. But it was the right choice for me. My sponsoring company was sold earlier this month. Now I don't have restrictions on needing to be sponsored to work. Yes, they will consider ...

The appointments are VERY hard to get. Even if you are incredibly persistent it can still be without success. I was one of the lucky ones who got an appointment after refreshing the window - literally probably 300 times - over the course of a few days. I did manage to get one, but it was "take what ...

Thanks Lenadream! That makes me feel better. Good luck on getting your documents to get home for Christmas. Congrats Apple!!! Here is the first line of my acknowledgement letter: Thank you for the application by the above-named on Form CRA(TM). Ummm.... did they put me in a diffe...
