Re: No Surname on Naturalisation certificate

Right, HMPO helpline asked me to send a postal application and send a cover note along with that to explain the situation. I have applied last week via the post office check and send service. Will update once I have more information.

I called the HMPO helpline number and they asked me to call again tomorrow so that they can transfer me to the passport office directly. I will see how it goes tomorrow.

Re: No Surname on Naturalisation certificate

Wow that's great turn around time, 9 days!

I thought postal application just goes and is without any SLA unlike an online application which has rules in the system to trigger such things and workflows.

I will call and check. Luckily they have a telephone helpline which is open on weekends as well.

Re: No Surname on Naturalisation certificate

Thanks for your replies. I will call HMPO and check what they say. I think postal application can take a bit more time than an online application so hoping there is some solution to go via the online form. I will see what they advice. Additionally I am also applying for my child's first British pass...

Re: citizenship ceremony invitation and local council booking

after sending HO the email, they have sent across the paper work to the local council. I called in and booked a ceremony. There was no intimation by the HO for this. I just called the council after a week of sending the email and they had received the document from HO.

Re: Document for parental responsibility for Children

Thanks for your reply.

I thought the same, that the birth certificate would suffice. However that is mentioned separately in another point under the documents required. Hence this question. What does it mean? Parental responsibility?

Any idea ?

Document for parental responsibility for Children

Hi Respected Members\Gurus, I have applied for the Naturalisation process for my wife and daughter. I got my British passport and the naturalisation done last year when the JCAP was still available via the councils. Using this new process has been a little daunting. However I have applied online via...

Re: British Citizenship

Nope, if you have received Parking tickets for which you have paid £35 or £70 within the 14 day period without any court proceedings, I dont think there is any need to declare them.

I also think its not something which will effect the application.

Hi neels111, out of curiosity, why was your wife not able to get her ILR in the 2016? Did she not complete the 5 years during the time of application?

Re: Tier 1 General (PBS Dependent) - Continous period

(2) any absence from the UK during periods of leave granted under the Rules in place before 11 January 2018 shall not count towards the 180 days. I see. So what that means is since she was granted period of leave under the rules before 11th January, 2018, the rule of 180 days does not apply to her....

Dear members and gurus, I have to apply for my wife and child's ILR. Can someone tell me if I need to show my bank statements and salary slips which I did for my ILR application? New online Application Form

Hi Members and Moderators, Like many of you, I have noticed today that the SET(O) Application form is now available online and can be used for an application. Re: SET (O) Form Changed but not available to download

I think you will be safe @tier2ilr.

What is the difference between applying online and in person? I mean does applying online means just filling out the form online and printing it out instead of downloading and printing the application and then filling it up?

Re: Tier 1 (General 5 Year Route) Dependent - ILR Checklist.

I checked with my GP surgery today. They do not have a policy to give out letters in terms of the address proof etc. However they did say a letter can be provided in stating that the couple has been registered with the surgery from so and so date. However they have informed me that they will not men...

Re: Tier 1 (General 5 Year Route) Dependent - ILR Checklist.

Additionally, I need to use just one SET(O) application form. I can include my wife and daughter in the same application form. Is that correct? I was initially thinking that my wife and daughter each need to have their own application form. I hope my understanding is correct. Can someone please clar...
