Re: Requirement for CSI after PR?

Your understanding (as I confirmed earlier) is correct. Note in the link below: " After five years of continuously exercising your treaty rights in the UK as an EEA national, you are entitled to 'permanent right of residence' in the UK and no longer have to be exercising treaty rights ." http://rig...

Re: Requirement for CSI after PR?

What exactly are you looking for? Confirmation that you don't need to exercise your Treaty rights after PR, or that CSI is not required once you no longer have to exercise your Treaty rights :?: #1. Confirmation that we don't need to exercise treaty rights , and therefore hold CSI, after we get PR....

Re: Requirement for CSI after PR?

Reading your post, if you have received "confirmation of pr" in January you definitely won't need CSI anymore. However if what you mean by receiving pr in January is based on "acquiring pr" and haven't actually had confirmation of pr from the home office it would be advisable to keep hold of CSI un...

Re: Requirement for CSI after PR?

Advice given by the UKVI 'helpline' can't be relied on. I believe that this service is outsourced to an agency whose staff appear to have a very limited knowledge of the UK Immigration Rules or EEA Regulations, even on the most basic issues. Neither will they take responsibility for any flawed advi...

Re: Requirement for CSI after PR?

You're on the right track. Once you have PR and you are no longer under Immigration control, you don't require CSI. Thank you very much for your response. Just to confirm, I called HO (0300-123-2253) and asked them. The person who answered told me I still need CSI because I'm still exercising treat...

Requirement for CSI after PR?

Hi all, I have been trying to find an answer to this question to no avail, so I hope someone here can help. (I did try to search here but could not find it...at least not on the first few pages of search results) My family and I received our PR earlier in January, through exercising treaty rights as...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Hi Elnof, I think it is a mistake or maybe you were issued a residence card rather than a permanent residence card because a permanent residence card would always bear "PERMANENT RESIDENCE" under the "TYPE OF PERMIT" section. Permanent residence cards are renewable after 10 years. Residence cards a...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Hi eLnof, Congrats. Just to understand better. Does it mean that they issued family member - residence card 5yrs instead of PR card 10 yrs? Did they confirm that its the same or how did you sort that out? That I am not sure about yet. My wife and kids received their certificates and they clearly st...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

You're probably right, but I don't think they are worst than most other immigration departments. I'm just mainly frustrated because I'm unable to travel (my five years card expired and I'm a non-EEA...). Same here.. I'm non-EEA, my card expired in September and had to miss on work opportunities tha...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

We were told yesterday the same thing. I think they give this answer to everyone. It is meaningless to say that they haven't reached a decision, they have no timeline about when they will reach a decision and there is no knowledge as to why... A shame there's nothing really we can do! Did you try t...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

I think u get a letter certifying permanent residence before you get your card or docs. Which we didn't. I even called yesterday to enquire about the application progress and was told that no decision's been made yet and it shows "pending". So how come on 04/01/2017 the system showed "pending" when...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Fellows, quick question if you please. My biometric card came in the post today but it doesn't say "permanent" anywhere! Instead, it has 5yrs on it and in the type says "Family Member - EU Residence"! And nothing came for my wife and kids (the EEA nationals). I tried to look for samples online but I...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

i have same timeline 20/6/2016 21/6/2016 still waiting no result Oddly enough, someone suggested that my wife should've applied first on her own as an EEA national then when it's done, I can apply separately and the kids can just get naturalised automatically, since they were both born in the UK. I...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

We're a family of 4: 3 EEA Nationals (my spouse and 2 kids) and 1 non-EEA (myself). I called today to enquire about progress in our case since it's been more than 6 months and they returned the call on the same day - which is good and surprising at the same time. That said, the lady on the other sid...

PR from EEA2

Hi All :D , This -as you can see- is my first post and enquiry here on the form. My situation is a bit complicated as I'm led to believe and I'd genuinely appreciate your input on this. For the sake of simplicity, I'm going to bullet point my case in chronological order, as follows: 1- I'm an Egypti...
