When I got married I was already a PR so my wife had to apply for a probationary settlement VISA valid for 2 years to come to UK. She was granted the VISA on 21/02/2011 (valid until 21/05/2011) and she landed in UK on 12/04/2011. I believe one has to complete 2 years of Settlement in UK before apply...

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies. My wife wants to remian an indian citizen so there is no reason to get an ILR and then subsequently a British Citizenship. ILRs are expensive and also they take more time I guess.

Just wanted to know the options.
