No, it is definitely the date your Tier 2 was issued and not the date of application. At the time of your visa application, you were on Tier 4 and those conditions continued until your Tier 2 was issued. Tier 4 time is not eligible for ILR under the 5 year route. Thanks a lot. There's nothing I can help but I want to let you know that my timeframe and situation are very similar to yours except that I'm switching from tier 4 to tier 2 and my current expiry date is 30 Jan. I totally understand your feeling but I think the only thing we can do is to wait.
