Re: Visit Visa for Mother in Law - Help!

My initial concern (as stated in the start of the thread) was establishing financial ties and it seems like its been reiterated here and which makes sense. Everything else will be ignored (family ties/family commitments , her 60 years of life in home country) as the ECO is concerned about the afford...

Re: Visit Visa for Mother in Law - Help!

thank you for the reply - I have been unwell hence the late response. Financially they had previous concerns - so your focus should be on demonstrating the best financial picture and evidence to support that picture. The more evidence you have the better. thats exactly what I was thinking but whats ...

Re: Visit Visa for Mother in Law - Help!

Thanks for the reply and your assessment of the situation. I had the same feeling but suppose we can’t proceed further without applying to see the outcome but wanted to find out what else could be done to support the application at the initial stage. PAP will be the final course of action but want t...

Visit Visa for Mother in Law - Help!

Hi All, planning to apply for mother in law visit visa to UK from Pakistan. I will be sponsoring her (have a job and house) but from reading few posts here, my understanding is that more emphasis should be on the circumstances and establishing ties with home country. Question is what can be done to ...

Re: UK visit visa duration requirement

Dear All, Looking at the above, I understand about time spent in out of UK. My question is, does it matter if the time spent out of UK isn’t in the home country. E.g. if my parents (home country Pakistan) have stayed with my brother in Dubai for 6 months in last 12 months? Would it/could it cause is...

Re: Another month, another refusal... would my parents ever get to come to uk?

I changed jobs in Nov (not sure why Oct was mentioned). Main point was that I was on probation and can’t take any time off. Even you have changed your job in NOV but still it can't be said as recent change. A person on probation is still entitled to holidays. In the hindsight, I agree, it wasn’t th...

Re: Time to upload documents and booking appointment

How did you get around the problem? My issue is that I’m not sure if the all pages are uploaded or not and if not what else I can do? You can only select 5 files to upload at once and the remaining files have to go separately- system shows 2nd batch uploading but when you view it, Files aren’t there...

Re: Time to upload documents and booking appointment

Documents upload is a really temperamental system. Not sure is it just me but it doesn’t let me upload more than 13 pages (or I can’t view more than 13). My bank statement alone is 16 pages (6 months). Secondly if i upload more than 1 document I can select multiple documents to upload but when I wan...

Re: Parent visit visa refused - but are the objection really valid?

Hi All/CR001 Regarding question for reapply, if i reapply, I think I will have to explain the point around closed bank account. Any may be shouldn’t submit unnecessary documents. Did I understand this correctly? Also just for peace of mind, if I ever go down the route of PAP can HO include new objec...

Re: Parent visit visa refused - but are the objection really valid?

I take your point - and completely understand

But not sure how to address points in latest refusal. I copied the text in my original post

Am I correct to understand that you suggest we should re apply without business documents?

Would PAP be recommended?

Re: Parent visit visa refused - but are the objection really valid?

May be due to our naivety... I was being over cautious in case if we hadn’t supplied the documents, I suppose they could come back still refusing that previous points were not addressed

Appreciate it might not be easier to solve the situation but any suggestion on a particular course of action?

Re: Parent visit visa refused - but are the objection really valid?

My father went to the bank to check why the bank statement couldn’t be verified and it turned out that out of 3,2 were verified but not the third one. The unverified bank statement was his business bank statement which was closed 2 years ago (as he’s retired now) and apparently banks in Pakistan imm...
