Re: BRP Return - Covering Note Template

There's a lot of unnecessary information in your covering note. The following single sentence satisfies all the requirements : I, <<Full Name>>, born <<dd-MM-yyyy>>, am returning my BRP (document number: <<BRP Card Number>>) because I've become a citizen. It's what I scrawled on a piece of paper for...

Re: EU husband got British Citizenship

This is just my opinion formed from what has been said in the thread so far and I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I think you two should seriously consider the option of your husband not attending the citizenship ceremony. Re: Passport refused - uncancelled passport in maiden name

Hi. I'm not married but my problem is kind of related. I changed my forename by deed poll a few years ago because I didn't know about this rule, and now my "British name" doesn't match the one in the passport I travelled here with. Is it simply a matter of doing the deed poll process backwards and s...

Proving residency

After 20 years of living in the UK and holding ILR for 10, I am finally applying for citizenship but I have a problem with proving my residency in the last five years. I've being reading through the requirements and in Annex B to Chapter 18 it says the following: 2. Checking the residence requiremen...
