Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Hello, I received DCPRs for me and my wife today. Here's the timeline: Application received by UKVI: 28/11/2016 Confirmation e-mail: 09/12/2016 Call from caseworker (see below): 06/03/2017 DCPR dated: 14/03/2017 DCPR received: 17/03/2017 I wouldn't say this was a straightforward case. I naturalised ...

Re: PR status after dual citizenship

Thanks to both for the replies.

That's great news, I hadn't realised I would be able to count the time spent as non-EU towards an application as an EU citizen. I'll send an application using both passports then.

PR status after dual citizenship

Hello, I'd like to understand what my options are for applying for a DCPR. Me (non-EU) and my wife (Italian) entered the UK in July 2011. I started working immediately (I had a Tier 2 visa), and she's been full time self-employed since. She officially registered as a self employed person in August 2...

Re: Will the 1A stamp at border work for us?

Given that information, am I back to deciding between the family permit or 1A stamp, in order to be allowed to work freely (not tied to my tier 2 sponsor)? Hi jonalport, just in case my experience is useful: I was in a similar situation, I was under a tier 2 visa and received a better job offer, so...

With Ryanair, all non EU passagers must go to the check-in desk for what they call "visa check". Otherwise they might be denied boarding at the gate.

Re: Visa national travelling with CoA and passport only

Hi, I'm a non-visa national, but just in case my experience is useful to you: I will show my Tier-2 card to board the plane (airlines wont know it is expired) I've done this some times. Rather than wasting time explaining that I don't need a visa I just show the airlines my tier-2 which I no longer ...

Tier 2 to EEA2. Should I notify UKBA?

Hi, I had been working under Tier 2 (General) from August 2011. This visa was issued outside of the UK on 20/07/2011. I recently resigned from my job and switched to a new employer. To do this I applied for EEA2 (for which I qualify), and received a Certificate of Application which confirms that I h...

You can obtain a certified copy of a UK marriage certificate from a register office for a small fee of circa £15 per copy. Hi, thanks for the answers. I actually got married in my home country before coming to the UK, so it would be more difficult than that. Anyway I don't think I'll have enough ti...

Exactly, I don't think I would even be able to apply as they have all the documents. I only have photocopies of what I sent.

hi flipper77, thanks for replying. Today I called the MP and she said that she needs to wait for UKBA to reply to her. I said that in my experience they never reply, but she said that they probably will to her. So we agreed we would wait until mid next week and if nothing happens she will chase it u...

Hi all, I need my passport for urgent travel on February 21st. I made the initial request for it to be sent back on January 7th (by email with the form, and quoting the case ID in my COA). Since then I have called, sent a letter by post, sent a second request by e-mail, and even contacted my MP, who...
