Tracking your British Passport Application

Dear all, Yesterday I submitted my first British passport application through the post office check and send service. I have seen on this forum individuals reporting the date in which the passport office received their applications. I am wondering how does one find this out? (the date the applicatio...

Re: Section 4 of UK British Passport Application

I am sorry for bothering anyone with this...but I only just realised the previous responses says grandparents details are not required so I should fill in the box as unknown. However, how about father's details. Do I also do the same as I also do not have this information? Has anyone seen elsewhere ...

Section 4 of UK British Passport Application

Dear all, I have my citizenship ceremony on Thursday, the 28th of January 2016, and after the ceremony (same day) I am thinking of also applying for my first British Passport using the post office check and send service. I am currently having a problem filling in section 4 of the application form. O...

Re: Indicative Fee increase

From the fee table, it states that the current fee (2015-2016) is £925 for naturalisation (British Citizenship). I could swear that most of us paid £1005. So what is the Home Office on about because that table is so inaccurate.(https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/fil...

Re: Application rejected

Dear Vindorix,

When you wrote "my payslips or contract of employment for the year last year ", I am assuming you are applying as an EEA national, am I right? (Asking out of curiosity as most applicants seems not to need payslips or contract when applying using ILR or PR route).

Re: What rules changed from 28 october

Hi RANA-ALI, One of the few things I have noticed to have changed is that the Home Office now requisites that EEA nationals and/or their (non-EEA) family members should have a Permanent Residence Card before applying for citizenship and hold it for 12 months. Also, the date of application will now b...

Re: Citizenship application-no sickness insurance

Hi mangustar01, If you are from an EEA country a residence card is not needed because it states, "You may be able to apply for a residence card if you’re from outside the European Economic Area (EEA)" and "you’re the family member, or extended family member, of an EEA national". So a Residence Card ...

Re: Citizenship application-no sickness insurance

Dear mangustar01 , It seems as of yesterday, the 28th of October 2015, there is a slight change regarding the optional requirement for Permanent Residence (as seen on the post; link below). http://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/pr-document-necessary-for-naturalisation-t196899.html Acc...

Re: Physical presence in the UK 5 years ago

So if i understand you correctly, I can go ahead with my NCS appointment on the 24th (no need to reschedule) since the HO receives the application on the 25th. I came back from my trip on the 24th of September 2010, so I was "physically" present in the UK on that day onwards.

Physical presence in the UK 5 years ago

Hi everyone, This might already have been posted in the past but I am unable to find it (my apologies). I have currently booked my NCS appointment for the 24th of September, which means if all goes well the HO will receive my application on the 25th of September. However 5 years ago (2010), between ...

Re: Is a PR enough or would additional evidence be required?

Dear noajthan, Thank you so, so much for taking time to read and reply to my enquiry. Would you mind me asking about the "meet the other requirement"? Do you mean the life in the UK test, and questions about good character (I have nothing to declare not even a speeding fine or penalty points as I do...

I don't mean to bug anyone but can people share their experiences with calling the Home Office regarding their application. Although in my case, I want to call them and clarify that they are processing my application as an EEA4, rather than an EEA2. It states in my CoA that I am not to call regardin...
