Re: Visitor Visa rejected 2nd time with absurd reasons

Thanks again. We haven't dropped our passports yet. Is it worth sending an email response to the latest communication (as mentioned above) asking for a future start date as this is reconsideration of the previous application and hence wasn't able to provide a start date in our previous communication...

Re: Visitor Visa rejected 2nd time with absurd reasons

Thanks for your replies, I understand and agree with them. We did not request any new date in the recent conversations as it was more about them requesting us to submit the latest supporting documents. So not sure how it shapes out. I think it's better to go with the flow. Out of curiosity question,...

Re: Visitor Visa rejected 2nd time with absurd reasons

I do know there is the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and using .gov.uk domain probably, won't know for sure till you try. Engage in mail correspondence. Was there a time limit stated within which you should respond as sometimes such matters are time bound. Yeah, there was a limit. Fo...

Re: Visitor Visa rejected 2nd time with absurd reasons

It's probably worth sending the documents again. We went through a very similar experience with the rejection letter appearing to imply that no supporting documents were submitted. I sent a complaint through the UKVI complaints page and shortly after that received an email requesting all the suppor...

Re: Visitor Visa rejected 2nd time with absurd reasons

Follow-up to this, I made a complaint in different places back in July, received a response in August for some documents and then that conversation went into oblivion, even after after few follow up emails were sent from us. Out of blue, last week, we received an email from ' visa.abudhabi@fcdo.gov...

Visitor Visa rejected 2nd time with absurd reasons

Hello all, I've recently applied Visitor visa for my parents for the 2nd time (1st time rejected), attached 46 supporting documents (1st time with 35), but received a rejection letter with the below statement : • You state that your son will help you towards your trip for your maintenance and accomm...

Re: Schengen Visa - 'Proof of Financial Subsistence' confusion

You need to provide bank statements for the three months directly prior to applying. Throughout the three months, you need to show the required amount for yourself if only you are applying and double that if your partner is also applying for a visa. If you stay 8 days or less, you need to show £500...

Schengen Visa - 'Proof of Financial Subsistence' confusion

Hello all, I have a query related to 'Proof of Financial Subsistence', currently I'm still on ILR looking to apply for Schengen Visa (Spain-Visitor). Most of the rules/requirements are pretty straightforward, except for 'Proof of Financial Subsistence' is little confusing to me. https://www.schengen...

Re: Student Visa Advice

We don't know whether we are over thinking this ... You are. If your brother has concerns, he should speak to the university about them. With respect, you do rather appear to be fanning the flames of his misplaced anxiety. I understand that you think so and I respect your opinion. He is following u...

Re: Student Visa Advice

* My question is, would it be ok to mention any of my details expressing that my brother has my full support for his course, that I also paid his fee and he can/will stay with us (as we live in 7 mile proximity to his university) or would it make his application weak in any sense? I mean mention th...

Student Visa Advice

Hello all, I'm asking this for my brother, who is planning to come to uk for studies. We have some concerns in understanding and the information we are supposed to share with UKVI as part of his University and Visa Applications respectively. I am his eldest brother, settled in UK, we actually paid h...

I would be grateful if someone could advise me on this matter. As long as you apply before BRP expiry date you'll be ok even if the approval comes aft...

Re: IHS Refund : Change of Employer

Hello, Am still awaiting for refund and literally counting weeks before I escalate it. It shouldn't be due to Covid as what Home Office says it is automated process so might be taking sometime to clear backlog but we have only one way and that is to follow up after each SLA breach. Not ideal way th...

Re: ILR - PBS Dependent Route, online application doubt

Thanks for your reply.

If my partner travels outside UK during process and the application gets withdrawn, will we get our fee refund excluding the £25 admin fee? (even after biometrics are done)

Once my partner is back, we can apply back straight away right?

Re: ILR - PBS Dependent Route, online application doubt

Hello again, Thanks for all of your replies. Just wanted to clarify about travelling outside of UK. Since my partner applied for ILR in October, submitted biometrics in October, is it ok for my partner to travel outside of UK? My partner still has visa till March 2022 on current BRP. Please advice. ...
