Tier 2 VISA application-Necessary to submit travel itinerary

Hello all,

Can any one of you please tell me, whether it is necessary to submit travel itinerary while applying for TIER 2 General VISA application.

I filled up the online form (VAF) and mentioned the travel date as 2nd of April.
