Guys, I am in the same boat as you. I have a shortfall on my HSMP extension of 2 months. When I contacted the UKBA last month, they told me to apply for a second extension, which on 1st March 2011. I have now come across this thread, and I am realising that I should have had my first extension chan...

About that letter, the refund applies to people who made 2 extensions before ILR and are covered by HSMP JR (but second extension was unnecessary). "We are continuing to correct those which fall within the policy agreed in response to the Judicial Review and will consider refunding fees if we find a...

Re: ILR - HSMP Guidance Notes of Pre 7 Nov 2006

I was searching the forum/web but could not find HSMP Guidance Note issued at the material time by Home Office in respect of post April 2006 but pre Nov 2006 period in the context that what is mentioned about absences for ILR. If anyone has the document link than that be provided. I just sent it to...

This form is from 2 years ago, and the deadline for submission of refund requests has long since passed. But you should at least try writing to the address stated there. http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/workingintheuk/hsmp-review-09-form For more info, here's a thread from 2009...

you don't need to deal with COP as you are Tier 1. letter from current employer should be enough. you do need evidence of your past WP status - so your WP, P60s, maybe payslips should be with you when you apply. and if anything is lacking, get a letter from that previous employer with basic informat...

I believe that instead of blanket enforcement, there's such a thing as using common sense on a case to case basis? If UKBA contacts a group and the communication applies to many migrants, then shouldn't the information be allowed? You'd rather deprive members of new information, in this case a lette...

over censorship on this forum

I have had a few deleted posts on this board in the last month and a half. Most recently, I posted information about these cases http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=71324 The info contained a link which is the latest communication from UKBA and is relevant to the members of the thread w...

Question : my husband visited us twice with his Tier1 PSW visa. On his 3rd visit Dec 2011 - he plans to look for job back in UK. Is this possible? Or should I apply for a dependant visa for him? I will be eligible for ILR in early 2012, I try to avoid applying dependant visa for him since he would ...

Btw, disregard this sentence you had in bold in your letter. That issue has been dealt with in the HSMP ILR Judicial Review of 2009. So you are eligible for ILR after 5 years. Please note that whilest the current threshold for settlement is five years, this is subject to change and you will be reuir...

Hi, That letter said "in the light of the High Court Judgement of 8th april 2008", which is exactly the Judicial Review. They just used different words, but that is when the JR was won in the High Court. So you are covered by the JR. So no worries, no need for other evidence. You should include that...

Looks like a very straightforward case. You and your spouse can apply for ILR. Not sure about cohabitation documents, but her NHS letters must have been addressed to your house. And NHS access is fine, it is not considered public funds, no problem there. Just get a current letter from your employer ...

This happened to me. I applied for ILR by postal application because I think at PEO it would not have been straightforward without the original passport. But I did include the ff. in my application (this was 2 years ago) - SAR file (look for the sticky thread on SAR, that says how you can apply for ...

There's a chance they will be stopped by parliament but MPs have to oppose the changes by 25th April 2011. So if you still...

Not if u register with IRIS which allows u to pass border control without face2face contact with border force. Googe iris and ukba for more info This is a very clever solution! But I don't think there is any problem with using your other passport in the UK with ILR. UK does not require dual nationa...

All recent posts are relevant to ILR. The "extension" I posted is a transitional arrangement for those who can't qualify for ILR.

Pay your council tax. It is not worth it for you to have a civil court record (as the city council will lodge a case of nonpayment against you) especially if you can afford this fee.

Hi rajivir, Problem is IT Manager is such a vague title, so smaller companies or even departments in hospitals/schools/universities will not be paying £45K for the person who manages the network and computers of a group. I think in the long run it will be worth it to get your ILR on 31 March. As previous poster mentioned, fees will rise after 6 April 2011 for ILR. Fees will rise again (they are allowed to raise it twice a year) before you apply for naturalisation. You need 1 year of ILR for naturalisation. If you do...

Link you posted says – " The codes of practice for these are currently being updated. For the moment, you should use the 2010/11 codes of practice published on the UK government web archive." So it is the old COP. And even if you meet the income requirement now, there is no certainty that you will...

I used NCS Cambridge too but it was a while back. They did make it clear to me on the phone when I made the booking that the fee is non-refundable. But you are allowed to reschedule.
