Got an email update from the HO. Is this normal?

Last week I got an email from the HO exactly one month after I submitted my ILR application. It begins: We are emailing you to confirm that your recent Home Office application is still under consideration and we expect to make a decision within 6 months of the date of your application, which is our ...

THE bank statement that you are showing for proof of business can be within last 3 months
The 30 day rule applies to only for maintenance fund and for set O you do not need maintenance fund
Is that correct? I can't find anything in the Immigration Rules about that.

URGENT! Bank statement date

I am applying next week for T1E to ILR and I'm worried my business bank statement date is going to mess up my application. For proof of a UK business you need to show 3 things: • Companies House report showing address, etc • HMRC evidence showing proof of taxation • business bank statement My most r...

Notifying HO if I do not intend to extend?

I've decided I'm moving back home and thus will not apply to extend my leave to remain.

Do I need to inform HO of this or send them my residence permit?

Or do I simply leave the country before my current leave expires and destroy my residence permit once it expires?

How long can I legally stayafter I let my visa expire?

For various family issues back home beyond my control, I may be moving back to my home country and not be applying for more leave here. Obviously, moving back to my home country will take a lot of work (packing, logistics, etc). The thing is, my visa expires March 15–and I don't want to pay thousand...

Re: How does a T1E to ILR applicant answer the SETO wages question?

Any pay is before tax not after tax. Yes that is true as a self-employed person. But the SETO application asks what your average monthly pay is "after income tax and other deductions?" So for the SETO form they want you to list your average monthly takehome pay after taxes would be taken out from t...

How does a T1E to ILR applicant answer the SETO wages question?

Applying for ILR soon and just saw question "5.3 Are you working in the UK?" I assume we check "yes" since we are self-employed and/or the director of a company (and sending in self-assessment tax returns each year). But then it says "If so, what is your pay each month after income tax and other de...

How can I get Santander to confirm bank statements are genuine?

I get my Santander personal current account statements delivered online. The problem is I am applying for ILR soon and need to provide original statements confirming I can financially support myself (I'm T1E to ILR). The Home Office knows many people nowadays get digital-only statements, so they say...

HO want to see your payslips and UK bank statement where your salary is paid into.
Just saw your reply as I finished posting mine.

I'm on a T1E visa and don't draw a salary from the company I own right now. I'm self-sufficient. Would foreign original bank statements showing my savings be OK?

I should mention that I am applying under the 5-year T1E route. I don't take a salary from my company at the moment, so have no payslips.

"Evidence of finances" from foreign bank okay?

For the SET(O) application we need to submit "evidence of finances" that prove we can support ourselves. I know this is different than maintenance funds, which aren't required. My question is, for "evidence of finances" is it OK to submit original bank statements from foreign banks (for example, fro...

Re: UK Taxation document

I notice you had a similar question in your own thread. The point is not to be too literal about some of these evidence documents. There are plenty of cases where people have used a software to recreate FPS and submit them. In my view, those are not the submitted docs that HO had in mind. They acce...

Re: UK Taxation document

Yes, any of the documents. They must be original Hey marcnath–people like you and Zimba are lifesavers on this forum. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. On that note, I have a few quick questions: 1) How can a CT600 "be original"? • it's not a document sent to you from HMRC • it's a blank P...

Re: Is this OK for HMRC proof of corporation tax registration?

The fact is that non of those letters actually prove you are registered for CT or your company is non-dormant. On the other hand, CT600 is a clear proof that you registered for CT and filed the required paperwork I would think just the opposite–>that a CT600 is NOT definitive proof you registered f...

Is this OK for HMRC proof of corporation tax registration?

For our application, we must show that our UK business is registered for corporation tax with documentation directly from HMRC. I was going to submit one of the three pieces below. Do all fulfill that requirement? • original HMRC CT41G letter "Corporation Tax Information for New Companies" • origina...

Re: SET (O) Form Changed but not available to download

I'm thinking maybe they haven't actually updated the paper SET (O) form.

At the bottom of the page, under "Full Page History" they list the form only being updated on 11 Jan 2018, not the guidance. Perhaps by "updated" form, they mean only the addition of the new online application form?

At the bottom of the ILR page it now says "You can now also apply using the online form." https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-to-settle-in-the-uk-form-seto That's new, right? I didn't think you could apply for ILR using SET(O) online before. My question is, can anyone applying via...

Weird. Yes, they say the form has been updated on 11 Jan 2018, but when you click on it it's still the October 2017 form.

Plus it now seems we can apply online for ILR??????

If you send by courier does that count as the application date?

There are two ways you can submit you your application: by courier or by post. Does submitting your application by courier count as the application submission date? Or does it only count as being submitted when the courier delivers it the next day? If it's the latter what happens if you hand it over...

The rules for ILR are scattered within the Immigration Rules , subject to each category. If you can tell us which category that interests you, then I can point to the specific paragraphs. Thanks, Vinny. I'm referencing from the SET(O) application form itself, on page 74 "Section 12 - Documents" the...

I realize this may be a silly question, but I'm wondering when I can apply for ILR based on the "28 days before" 5-year timeline. The 5th year of my Tier 1 visa expires on March 20, 2018. From what I understand of the rules, I can apply for ILR 28 days before that date is reached. But is that "28 da...
