Re: Re-applying ILR Set(M), after being refused due to incorrect English language test

Sorry Aman, I do not get that. Can you elaborate. For Set (M) applicants it's only the total time, for example on a 5 year route, that's all the time required for application of ILR.

Re-applying ILR Set(M), after being refused due to incorrect English language test

Good day all, I am going to ask a silly question to put my doubts at rest. So if you could just validate for the peace of my mind. Else, I will be gambling with £3.3k which I am sure you all do not want me to :-) I completed my 5 years in the UK last year. I applied for ILR as Set (M), as my wife is...

Hi NS, Broadly all looks in order. We used a solicitor. Wait for others to comment. The important one is the sponsorship letter. It gets missed out- because it is not properly located/ mentioned on UK BA website...people have been rejected earlier for this one...nowadays VFS will ask for the form......

Re: How long!!

Hi V+P, Stay positive. We did submit our application on the 7th of July 2012- a day before rules were to change. Our solicitor takes monthly updates- and he keeps saying all is well and that they have all the paperwork they need. That has not been able to re-assure me enough. (And we do have argumen...

Re: Visa Granted!!

Hi Vikku, A quick one- her TB certificate will be required to be shown at the airport. Also, ask her to carry a copy of your passport. In my case I would also carry along my English language test, though it may seem silly. On and off I have seen other information -but can not recollect at the moment...

Hi Chohans, This is a standard reply!! There are a few things happening behind the curtain- one among them being that they actually verify your previous financial year incomes and taxes paid from the tax office. From what I have heard, some information of that is not digital. So perhaps it takes som...

Hi Chohans, Unfortunately, the system seems messed up big time. You can just be patient and hopeful. I have read here some people have been lucky enough to get results within reasonable times. You will get a reply only after 12 weeks, and that too is likely to be a generic one- with no specifics, no...

Hi Chohan, Where did you apply from? The overall process takes quite a while. My initial application through a solicitor was submitted on 7th July 2012. Thereafter, I submitted my passport and visa fee in Mumbai on 26th Feb 2013 to wake them from a slumber. Yet nothing has happened! Stay on this for...
