I also read that a copy of Sponsor's passport is sufficient. They need the passport of the applicant though for family permit.

Your post and topic title are conflicting. Are you applying for an EEA Residence Card or British Citizenship :?:
Moderator/@Casa please can you change the thread title accordingly. Thank you

Re: EEA FM - Inability to submit Sponsor's passport

EEA FM - British Citizen Passport

I plan to apply for the RC using the SS route and I'm unable to submit passport due to my frequent travel for work. My dependent applicant would be able to submit the passport. Would it be okay if I mention this on the application and provide an attested copy from the bank? Will this impact the appl...

Re: EEA FM applying for Mother in Law

An easier option might be that your wife applies for her mother.

Your wife should be categorised as self sufficient. The only caveat is that she should have health insurance and not claiming any benefits.

Re: Older dependent relatives

I will also check how the other EEA countries interpret the adult dependents (esp. for my mom) - to see if Surinder Singh can be attempted. You are running out of time for this route and you and your whole family would have to move to an EU state. Your parents would qualify as direct family members...

Re: Older dependent relatives

Thank you @secret.simon for the detailed response and taking time to do this. It is really helpful and will play a key role in my decision making. [DIGRESS] The immigration rules seem to be very cruel with respect to ADRs as I can observe. How can a 59 year old live alone without her husband who is ...

Re: can get an extension even though eligible for ILR?

"Tier 1 (General) extensions will be granted for either three years or the balance the applicant needs to take their time granted in the category to five years, whichever is longer." the above statement hints that the extension is to achieve your 5 years stay. If you are eligible for ILR with 5 year...

Re: can get an extension even though eligible for ILR?

hi guys, I have been calling Home office and they seem to tell me that they would not provide extension unnecessarily.

i.e. unless you have long absence or entered the country late..

I am quite curious to know what is happening in reality.

Is this information regarding "redundant" extension true?
I have checked with four different people in home office and they all claim that no extensions can be done and I have only choice i.e. ILR. worth starting a separate thread I think!

Re: Tier 1 Main applicant extn while dependent waits until I

Thanks Suresh for responding so quickly. I was quite anxious due to the April 3 timing (annual immigration rule change time) and for peace of mind thought of extending Tier 1 (General) once. But, now after speaking with a few people I have come to know that they don't extend the visa beyond the 5 ye...

Re: Tier 1 Main applicant extn while dependent waits until I

Visa Type: Tier 1 General
Entry Clearance: May 1, 2010
Entry Date: Jun 24, 2010 (about 55 days late)
Date of renewed Visa expiry: May 1, 2015

I am thinking of going for extension for me alone to be on the safe side.

My spouse has the same entry dates.
