How much approx time does it take for submitting the application. I mean, considering any security check, waiting etc. For e.g. if you go in at say 12pm, can ...

Hi, Stace - The employment letter is not required. But I think it is good idea to include it. I would suggest to not postpone your appointment if you dont receive the letter in time. I think it is used just for the purpose of cross verification that the payslips and bank statements are not fraudulen...

I am sorry to say but I dont think you have correctly understood my question. My question is not regarding what document to supply while applying for BC. Let me try to explain my real question. Continuous lawful 5 years, yes or no?

Hi, I will be applying for my ILR very soon on the basis of WP + Tier 1(G). I am applying 2 weeks before I complete full 5 years and I have a question regarding the SET(O) form. Effect of unemployment on ILR application

Hi,
I was unemployed for a short while 3 years ago under Tier 1(General). I did spend almost all of that time searching for job while living in the UK. Later I got a job and also got my Tier 1(General) extended.

Does being unemployed affect my ILR application in any way?

Thank You

there is no maintenance fund requirement for ILR. I am so very sorry. I thought earlier I read somewhere of maintenance funds of £900. I think its due to information overload. Hi , if your leaves are less then 180 days then you don't need any letter. Do not select any option in application form as well. CW will not ask for the letter atleast not in Croydon 6.2 of Section 6 of form SEt(O) asks to tick YES or NO for - Since then have you had any absences from the UK? If ye...

Hi,
Does switching your job 6 months before applying for ILR has an affect on your application, in front of the case worker?

Ok. agreed.
What can count as an evidence in case such an short absence is in between jobs? and what if for whatever reasons a previous company declines to provide such a letter?

Thank you very much for that. But I think your explanation is slightly tilted towards the English language meaning of 'absence' rather than legal explantion. from UKBA website(Part 6A rules), says :- (a) "continuous period of 5 years lawfully in the UK" means, subject to paragraphs 245CD, 245GF and ...

What qualifies as absence?

Hi, While applying for an ILR under Tier1 General, what do they actually mean by 'absence(s)'? Someone told me that absences mean all the foreign trips during last 5 years, even if they are say 2 weeks each and a total of say 5 such trips. Does something like this count absence from UK? Or does abse...
