Visa application from DR Congo

Hi everyone, I'd like to share my experience regarding my daughter's visa application at the Irish Embassy. I am an EU national, and I was planning to visit Dublin last Christmas with my non-EU family member. Here's a timeline of events: In October 2022, my non-EU family member submitted a visa appl...

Re: Visa refusal

Hi , I can imagine that you are very upset and emotional. But I'd say stay within facts if you want your appeal to be succesful. First, on what grounds did they refused your applciaiton, again it is not necessary to list any personal information here simply general facts why your applciation is deni...

Re: EU citizen , visa for dependent father in Russia(not russian)

Hi lalalandy2021, The general guideline with regards to the schengen visa code is that one must lodge his/her application at the diplomatic mission that is responsible based on his/her nationality or permanent residence. In very exceptional cases you can apply at other embassy but that must be justi...

Hi Omiisl,

Send me a PM , i think i may have a solution for you. I don't think it is necessary to send your parents back to Pakistan because then it will be tough from to come back. Send me a PM so we can discuss in further details.

Cheers.

Re: Naturalisation in the NL

Hi Iwolga, As a solicitor specialized in the Dutch law, I'd say that your question is legit. First, if you are married to a Dutch national you can apply for the naturalization outside the Netherlands provided you meet naturalisatie requirements ( see below a few example), in other words you do not n...

Hi,
Did you hear anything from INIS? It's common practice at INIS , and in case you haven't heard from them send another reminder. Keep us posted on the progress!!

Re: Travel to Switzerland quick question

@liksah: your statement is not really correct. First of all , UK is an EU member but not part of the Schengen agreeement. on the flip side, Switzerland has signed the Schengen agreement and but is not part of the EU. theoretically they could travel without visa based on the bilateral agreements betw...

Re: Renewal of German Residency Permit

I am confused - why would you need a work/residence permit as a Swiss national? What does your permit say exactly? In general: Will you be out of Germany for longer than 6 months? Any German residence permit (even "indefinite" ones) loses validity as soon as you stay outside of Germany for six mont...

Re: Schengen visa for France: How to appeal against visa ref

Based on my personal experience I don't see the chance of winning in this case if this is your appeal letter, just a hint for you based your appeal more on facts rather than emotions or circumstance that you have control of. If you need a help I can certainly help you with that. Any way best of luck!!

Re: How apply visa for chaild over 21 of EEA NATIONAL

As per my understanding of law after age of 21 years or end of the educational year (when they turn 21), your children are no longer considered dependants on you. The fact that they are in full time education or supported by you is no longer relevant. There might be certain exception to this rule, ...

Re: My wife is Slovak living in Austria !!!

As long as your wife has only the slovakian citizenship you simply cannot join her under austrian law for austrian citizen. It makes no sense for her to apply for the austrian citizenship first because it takes a lot of time and the austrian way of joining is much more harder than the eu route. Che...

Re: eea family visa for ireland for brother

I don't think u can bring ur brother over to ireland based on ur EU treaty rights as he is 25 years of age. He is a grown up man and cannot be dependent on u. I don't think that is correct what you are saying at least as far as I know because the Directive underlines that "Other family members such...

Re: how they kno illegal stay in Schengen? mobile phone use

Dear all, I'm from South Korea. I am staying in Italy for more than one year illegally as a traveler (Koreans are granted to stay without visa for 3 months) and even used my mobile phone of my identity here (precisely a sim card that I bought with my passport). I would like to know if the Italian a...

Re: Sweden denied visa to non-EU family members.

Well I'd say do not declare victory before its time because sending the decision to the embassy doesn't mean that they have overturned their initial decision. Owing to the fact that your residence is not in Sweden, the decision ( positive or negative) is usually sent to the embassy to hand it out to...

@mrworld9 I don't really agree with Treena, because it literally states in the directive 2004 " The right of entry of your third country family members is derived from their family ties with you, a Union citizen. All the Member State consular officials can ask for is their passport and a document es...

Re: Sweden denied visa to non-EU family members.

I am sorry to hear about your wife’s refusal. Frankly, I am not surprised at all since most EU embassies are very skeptical about Nigerians in general, and with high volume of visa applicant s they usually don’t even read the case properly, they put all Nigerians in the same basket. All they know is...

I think you should be more specific, just by reading your story I've got the feeling that the Italian authority might be right. As you are probably aware Philippine is not part of the apostille countries. Thus, in order for your wife to qualify for spouse of EU national (Directive 2004/38/EC) she wi...
