Check the code of practice for your new job. If the new employer pays at or above the experienced salary threshold then it is fine, regardless whether it is more or less than the current job salary.

Is it a requirement to register with the police when you get your Tier 2 General Visa? I was on PSW and was not required to register as my nationality was not on the list. Most likely no.
