You could just put that you are a 'friend'. Seeing as he's your boyfriend, not husband, legally he is of no relation to you. But if you are worried or unsure about it then it's probably better if he just gets someone else as a referee.

How is withdrawing your naturalisation application or not applying for naturalisation going to teach UKBA a lesson? Do you think they care if people want to become British? What difference will it make to them if less people apply? In fact, I'd say they'd even be glad to have less workload!

I don't know anything about the appeal process or deadlines Im going to do this based on some facts and a leap of faith ! But I need to do this before anymore changes are made to the British law ! There is no right to appeal for citizenship applications. He's on about appealing his 'thin ice' statu...

I'm not sure whether there is truth to this 'high risk country list' theory or not but even if there is, some of you guys are being rather impatient. A lot of you have only applied in June and are saying that your application is taking long. Stop basing your expectations on some of these recent app...

Re: Is the EEA RC Card a form of ID for the BC Ceremony?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the Permanent Residence or Residence card is considered a form of ID; every time I've asked, they've told me to bring my passport or National EAA ID; so in your case, I'd take your National ID as well; if you sent the passport, you should have a National ID and ...

You have already been approved for naturalisation so how could this affect it when UKBA have completely finished with your application? Your passport application has nothing at all to do with this. Stop worrying unnecessarily.

I don't understand how someone can want to be a British citizen when they can't seem to be able to understand plain English. I understand why the UKBA have decided to make the language requirements for naturalisation and ILR more difficult.

Why don't you just phone the passport office and ask them what you can do. The number is 0300 222 0000. They're not like UKBA. They actually answer questions and help you out.
