Re: Self submit option in UKVCAS

Thanks Alterhase58. I have now confirmed the option has been removed. Here is the new banner text in my "Upload your documents" section: Upload your documents We improved the Document upload pages for new applicants on 27/07/2023. As we received your application before this date, use this page to ...

Self submit option in UKVCAS

Hi all, I have uploaded my documents to UKVCAS website but I can't see any "self-submit" button anywhere, only "upload" for each of the categories. UKVCAS Help says the option can be used only once, up to 48hs prior to your appointment, and my appointment is in two weeks' time. I read elsewhere in ...

Re: Birth certificate translation to English

In the end, we decided to request a certified translation for the birth certificates. I am not really convinced it is necessary though, but we may need those translations in future anyway, so I think it won't be a complete waste of money. Sorry to those future visitors to this post wanting to know ...

Re: Birth certificate translation to English

Thank you secret.simon and alterhase58. Interesting to see opinions are split on this! I wonder if anyone has anecdotal experience on this. I think I will submit original versions, and if translation is needed I guess the caseworker will request it. In my particular case, documents are in Spanish ...

Birth certificate translation to English

Hi there, I'm applying for naturalisation and registering my kids at the same time - I am using form AN online, and adding the kids in the same application. When we get to the "Documents" stage, the system issues a checklist of all required documents we need to submit. These include "birth ...

Re: change brc issued under eea to eu settlement

I tried to return my EEA BRC to the address I received in the APAD email, which was: POL Returns PO Box 195 Bristol BS20 1AB My mail was returned to me unopened. On googling, it seems the postcode is from another Returns address (PO Box 163). I wrote to APAD and was told the address they'd provided ...

2 year absence - ILR and PR differences?

Thanks a lot for sharing Plum70 - If there was a change in the wording then there may be a good reason for it. Does anyone have any comments or references on the 2-year "absence" concept please? Is it different in the case of ILR as opposed to PR obtained through EEA4 form through the european route ...

Wording in EEA4 PR - update please

Hi there any recent EEA4 PR recipients, May I ask you if your EEA4 PR accompanying letter has the following wording in terms of "habitually and normally resident in this country".? As an update on this discussion, the letter accompanying PR in January 2012 still used these phrases in it: " In order ...

Thanks a lot sheraz7. I read through the linked post. It seems a bit different in the sense that the person involved was already EEA national (Spain). I am not. If I got it right, the post suggests I could apply for EEA4 on my return after being abroad (less than 2 continuous years). Right? A couple ...

non-EEA 5 years resident but leaving soon - Apply?

Hi there, My case is this: resident in the UK with EEA2 residence card (spouse and kids are EEA nationals) for 5 years (today!) I've been working during these 5 years, no gaps, with P60s and comprehensive health insurance for all family. As per the Law, as far as I see it, I "am" a UK permanent ...
