Re: tier 4 maintenance confusion

But how can you prove it has been used for this purpose? Do you have any idea if they are going to look into that? For example if someone else paid your fees and you have to pay him back, is that a sufficient reason for this money to be gone from the account? You are over thinking it. It just needs...

Re: Credibility Interview

Hello, how come they interviewed you on the day of submission of documents? They need to first accept your application, give your a file no, then read through your documents and make sure your documents are genuine and the last stage is interview. I am a bit confused how they could interview you imm...

Occupation Shortage List

Hello, I am interested in studying in the UK once again. So I made some research looking into the occupation shortage list as that would help find a job after completing studies. I found Child and Families Social Worker as a good option. My question is will the university offer me a place for MA/MSC...

Re: Credibility Interview Blunder

I think you have the wrong impression. If asked, your bank may verify that a specific document is genuinely issued by them, but they cannot give a random caller from the British Embassy access to your personal finances without your permission. I have a question on this. What exactly do they ask the...

Can anyone guide me how the maintenance part (£9135) must be shown to the UKVI in the loan sanction letter. See paragraph 220 v of the Tier 4 Policy Guidance. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/606685/T4_Migrant_Guidance.pdf I have read already. Just want to k...

Re: PhD/DBA studies after finishing MBA in 2011

DBA is Doctor of Business Administration and the said university runs the program. Since I am going to apply from India, the academic progression rule does not apply to my case. And even if it does, doctorate is an academic progression after masters. Legally, they have no right to refuse an applica...

Re: Switching from Tier 1 to Tier 4

Tier 1EV was and is so abused any move away from it to another PBS route is considered with a hefty degree of scepticism. There is no authority on this just an anecdotal experience within the educational sector. It is hard to change from tier1EV as the genuine student test places a great deal of em...

Re: PhD/DBA studies after finishing MBA in 2011

What is 'DBA' - do you mean some form of IT technical training? or Doctor of Business Administration? And on what basis has this university said this? what authority? Did they understand you meant DBA not DBA ? - and from where you may apply? DBA is Doctor of Business Administration and the said un...

PhD/DBA studies after finishing MBA in 2011

I need some help from anyone who has undergone a similar situation like mine. I will be finishing 10 years in 2019. Presently I am on Tier 1 entrepreneur visa but instead of extending it, I want to go to India and apply for Tier 4 visa. One university said following - since you came to the UK in 200...

Re: Apply for a sencond Master degree

Only Tier 4 applications made in the UK need to show academic progress. If your Tier 4 sponsor is happy to sponsor you, you can apply in your home country. You can expect a heavier hand with credibility checks though. I have little doubt on this. The universities have to mention in their CAS that y...

It was a very shot 10 minute interview. I asked in the end, are you sure y...

I become eligible for ILR after 3 years. But I am worried since I have to go to India to apply.
I hope that does not break the continuity. My visa is still valid till March 17 and I am going to apply for T4 visa before Dec 16.

Re: Partial Refund received for IMM Healthcare Surcharge

If the application is successful, they would keep the money because that money is apparently to use NHS. Why will they refund if the visa is approved ?

I have no knowledge on this but just using common sense.

See also Long residence . saw but it is not specific to my case. Why do you think it is not specific to your case? The rules are clear, if you are absent from the UK for more than 180 days, your continuous residence is broken. Do you really think that HO is going to publish guidelines for the 100's...

Continuous residence 10 years - ‘leave to remain'

I have completed 7 years in the UK, have 6 months left on my T1E visa, but instead of wasting time and money on extension, I would like to apply for PhD from India. My solicitor said, even if I apply from India for student visa I am still eligible for 10-year long residence ILR provided I dont spend...
