EEA Family Permit for NZ mother supported by Irish wife

Ok, I've spent the afternoon attempting to research this, but cannot find a definitive answer anywhere (including the FAQ section on this forum). So apologies in advance if I've missed a posting or FAQ where this is answered. I'm hoping someone here will have the knowledge to assist. I am a British/...

Hi ukstay. So how did things pan out? Did you just make a new application or try for a review?

I used this form a few years ago, I was on a work permit at the time. My reasons for hurrying it along were pretty flimsy - I had a stag do to go to abroad. I faxed stating reason as holiday (I think) on the form and had my passport back a few days later.

English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish Nationality

As a newly naturalised British Citizen, I had an interesting argument in the pub the other night, so I'd like the opinion of others on the board. I was told by a native born friend, that despite being British, I could never claim to be English, as I wasn't born here. Despite the majority of my ances...

Not strictly immigration related this, but may be of interest to some currently watching this thread - particularly those based in London. Spent the day today trying to get a decent photo for my passport application. Might sound a tad vain, but being that you have to live with the picture for 10 yea...

WHV to HSMP

I've searched the forums for the answer for this, but haven't found a definitive response. My brother is currently on a Working Holiday visa. He would probably qualify for HSMP. Is it still possible to switch in-country? I know you cannot switch to WP in-country unless it is to a shortage list profe...

Just got my ILR today, so thought I'd tag my experience on the end of this post. Nationality: NZ (Arrived 28/1/2002) Grounds: 4 Years on WP (IT), one employer, no spouse or dependents My appointment was at 11:00, so turned up at 10:30 as advised. In hindsight I would've turned up earlier as apparent...

Exactly what I was thinking f2k. I am from New Zealand and my reasons for moving here are not at all economic. I must say it irks me slightly to be referred to as an 'economic' migrant. The money I make here versus cost of living is pretty much like for like with NZ - all considered I'm probably sli...

Turns out the Urgent Treatment process is still pretty efficient. Sent a fax off on Monday, didn't include copies of my tickets or anything, in fact the date I need to travel isn't until late April. I ticked the pre-booked holidays box. Just got off the phone to the Home Office and they said I shoul...

Okay after reading the full outline in the pdf, this seems a bit clearer. There seems to be a lot of doomsaying and needlessly worried people. Keep in mind this is a five year plan, knocked up in a hurry to appease voters who by and large will not appreciate the necessity of managed migration. - Non...
